I'm pretty sure...don't quote me. I haven't seen anyone mention it yet with him doing the games for Jumbo.

It's playoff time, babay! I'll change it back when the Hornets are either out or win it all. (
Yeah right about that last one)

no, that's why when a catcher throws down to first, he throws outside the base to avoid hitting the runner
So it's the opposite? I don't remember, but when I was in high school, I laid down a bunt against Opelousus (sic) Catholic. The catcher picked it up, threw a laser that nailed me in the arse-cheek, and I was called out.

Rule 8, Section 5 of the NCAA baseball rules is where the rule is. I'll let y'all look it up.
And the runner is out for running outside the baseline if he does so to avoid being tagged.

a runner is out if he runs outside the baseline regardless, but obviously the umpire thought differently, as did i.
no i was trying to say that if the umpire ruled he was in the baseline, the correct call is that the runner is safe. the ball hitting him means nothing

"7.08 (a) (1). It reads, "Any runner is out when he runs more than three feet away from a direct line between bases to avoid being tagged unless his action is to avoid interference with a fielder fielding a batted ball" That's pretty clear but the lack of language in the rule leaves much to interpretation as we shall see.
Although you won't find this in the rulebook, umpires will tell you that a runner establishes his own baseline or makes his own path."
