Not exactly a desirable character trait for a position which is supposed to lead a team.

Neither is abandoning your team in a bowl game, but there it is.

He probably expected JD to go pro and at least get a promotion from the scout team

BK said Howard thought he was the best qb on the team in an interview mid season.

Thinks he can be a good starter on a power 5 school next year, so be it.

He wasn’t good. I tried to pretend he was because of his high school rating and from all of you dudes on his jock, but the dude never looked special on film. In person he looked like a fatter, shorter, and less athletic Chase Daniel.

GFY. It will work out to have been the best decision. Trading off saving a year of eligibility in what could turn into a national contending season with him at the helm vs. a meaningless bowl game. He made the best decision for himself and ultimately the program in the future. You're an ignorant lost cause if you can't understand and accept that.

When he signed, JD was not on the team. I can’t imagine he expected to start prior to his redshirt sophomore season, which he still could’ve.

If he goes to TCU, his timeline is no different. Chandler Morris still has three years of eligibility, same as Nussmeier.

He should’ve stayed, battled Nuss and then left if he lost.

He’s riding the bench next year at virtually any P5 school next year anyway.
