I feel like he looks just a little shorter than Nuss, who is 6-2. I don't feel like he is that short, and doesn't stick out to me.

One doesn’t have to be a giant 6’5 statue anymore. Smaller, more mobile QBs are dominating.

Walker is much more athletic than Drew Brees ever was, and he might be more talented too, we shall see

For QBs they seem to add two inches. I don’t think Nussmeier is 6-2, he looks closer to 6 ft.

Clearly you never watched Brees in college.

I would say Nuss is probably around or just under 6-1 and Howard 5-11 .

Was Brees athletic for a human? Yes he was, certainly. Was he particularly athletic for an NFL qb? I don't think so

Drew Brees was also a tennis player and beat Roddick at a few events. I would say that would put him in a pretty athletic group

Dude, Drew Brees was an incredible athlete. With very athletic genes.

quote:

Both of Brees's parents had athletic backgrounds. His father played basketball at Texas A&M, and his mother was a former all-state athlete in three sports in high school.[15] His maternal uncle, Marty Akins, was an All-American starting quarterback for the Texas Longhorns college football team from 1972 to 1975,[14][16] and his maternal grandfather, Ray Akins, had the third-most victories as a Texas high school football coach, in his three decades at Gregory-Portland High School.[17][18][19] His younger brother, Reid, was an outfielder for the Baylor Bears baseball team, which made the 2005 College World Series; ][20]

After moving to the Austin area, Brees did not play tackle football until high school and was on the flag football team at St. Andrew's Episcopal School, where his teammates included actor Ben McKenzie, who was in the same year. In high school, he was a varsity letterman in baseball, basketball, and football,[21] and was considering playing college baseball rather than football.

As a high school football player, Brees completed 314 of 490 passes (64.1 percent) for 5,461 yards with 50 touchdowns, including in his senior season, 211 of 333 passes (63.4 percent) for 3,528 yards with 31 touchdowns.[24] When Brees started for two seasons, Westlake went 28–0–1

Incredible tennis player:

quote:

New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees is arguably one of the best football players in the NFL, and apparently he wasn't too shabby at tennis as a kid.

According to Andy Roddick, Brees beat him in tennis not once, but twice when they were young.

Also, he was like 5'11" and could dunk easily and rushed for 900 yards and 14 touchdowns in college.

Nope, Nussmeier is a legit 6’1. Walked past him numerous times on campus and he was for sure over 6 feet
