I'm gonna need you to define "just a bit", "bullpen", and "simulated game" just for the lulz. TIA.

I'm suggesting maybe just letting him throw a bit, NOT a simulated game the freaking week if the most important start of his life.

Just don't see the need is game simulation for a pitcher at this point.

You serious Clark?

You clearly have zero clue what the routines for these guys are like..

think about this, you're basically implying that that you can manage a college pitching staff in the post season better than Dunn and CPM .. that's pretty hilarious

I understand no one controls injuries, but it sucks he was put thru something more than just warning up, stretching type stuff

You can't be serious... you have to keep throwing bullpens , etc! It's not like you can skip on bullpens sessions and stay polished! There is more to pitching then stretching and warming up!!

The ironic part of the argument against him throwing a simulated game is that he may be sore because he hasn't pitched in a longer period than usual.

Today I learned:

Pitchers should only pitch during games.

Next thing you're going to tell me players should only swing the bat during a game too

I think you are reading too much into this. A "game simulation" is just 35-50 pitches to batters taking bp. It isn't even strenuous.

Some of you are blowing this way out of proportion. He threw in a scrimmage and had soreness afterwards. That happens to everybody that pitches. Bottom line is if they need to give him some pain meds to make it through the game then they will. That will be all there is to it. They will find out a way to get him on the mound if he wants to, and im sure he does. Just chill out and lets see if he starts poche or walker in the second game...I bet it will still be walker.
