I know the rant can be a tough place but this thread is full of some pretty disgusting comments. A guy is crying because he might be looking at jail time and is being grilled by the police. Looks like a bunch of you need to freaking grow up.

you're implying they had nothing to do with the circumstances they found themselves in...that's just false.

What if they didn't start the fight and someone else swung first. You not gonna defend yourself

So if bama's staring qb and 3 other football players were reported to have cried when the cops talked to them about a fight, you wouldnt make a joke?

yea none of you tough guys would do the same after having your lives dragged through the mud and realizing your future is in jeopardy. bunch of a-holes around here

your right. i would not cry like a big pussy b/c i went out two weeks before the season opener, got in a fight, risked my future, and had to put up with the public scrutiny. I have no sympathy for these aholes. shouldn't have been there in the first place. They dont need to cry b/c they fricked themselves.

I see an if in there.....Oh and IF someone had swung, it would self defense and I wouldn't be crying about it. I would know I was in the right. Oh yeah, a similar situation DID happen to me, and I DIDN'T cry, because I knew it was self defense.

It has nothing to do with them bringing this on theirselves. Just because you bring something on yourself doesn't mean you shouldn't be upset when you get called on it and your feel like your whole life is fricked. It may be a big joke to you but it isn't to them.

One day they are playing for LSU. One of the best football programs in the country. Taking on Oregon and in the media spotlight because of it. The next day you see the possibility of jail time, having a record, being kicked of the team, aspirations of a pro-career shot to hell, brought dishonor to your family, your team, the coach that you love. Yeah I think anyone in that situation would be a little upset!

And they expect you to believe that they when told that no charges would be filed, they cried.

The tears were as a direct result of being told, this is not over, by a long shot.

They are delirious over it and refuse to let good reason and humanity get in the way. The worst type of fans imo.

JJ must be really killing himself right now. Student athletes should be held to a higher standard than an average college student because they represent the university, coach, teammates, and they have the eyes of the community on them. For many of these kids going to a great school like LSU and getting an education through their skilled abilities as athletes is a huge once-in-a-lifetime accomplishment. Many times it's a first for their families. They have the opportunity to go and do great things and be extremely successful. Whether or not you like JJ, or think he's the right fit for quarterback at LSU, you have to agree that this lapse in judgement and slip into peer pressure resulted in a waste of talent and years of hard work. Everything has changed for him regardless of his guilt. I'd personally like to see him make a mends for everything, because he's weathered a lot. Best of luck to whomever takes the field in Dallas.

THEN. DON'T. PUT. YOURSELF. IN. THAT. POSITION.

i don't want to go to jail for murder, so i don't shoot/stab/ice pick/axe/etc. anyone in my spare time..... i have a CHOICE.... i don't feel for these players, at all.... first off, shouldn't have broke team rules by breaking curfew... second, shouldn't be breaking state law by drinking underage.... third, shouldn't be so stupid as to get into a huge melee 2 WEEKS BEFORE A HUGE OPENING GAME!

sorry, someone else can cry for them, because i'm all out of tears for demi-God 18 year olds....
