I'd be ok with our best shooter coming off the bench to light it up, but I'm not sure how good the distribution will be when he's not on the court. He may cause turnovers at times, but he's the best facilitator on the team.

There’s some things you can blame on the players not implementing what’s being coached, but KBW playing 6 min is inexcusable and completely within Wade’s control.

he said to let Waters come off the bench, and I said that I could see positives in that.

JP absoutely.

Javonte was unstoppable in the first have taking the ball in the lane.

Tremont just hasn't looked the part this year. It's frustrating.

WE need Bigsby-Williams getting 28-30 minutes a game. Houston's tallest player was 6'7".

UNACCEPTABLE.

Wades in year two at LSU. Too early to judge. Let him learn from his losses

Team took a huge leap in performance when Wade took over and they've taken another leap this season. I really don't know why people are complaining considering the condition of the team he took over. It was a 10 win team for goodness sakes.

2 wins in conference and dead last. As you correctly pointed out earlier, we were the equivalent of Vandy football, possibly worse.

You said he was the best shooter on the team. I don’t see how you can say that at this time.

the "youth" excuse doesn't fly in basketball.

Waters is absolutely the best shooter on this team.

It’s not as big of a deal as other sports, but it absolutely makes a difference. It’s funny how we hear that being young isn’t an excuse, yet when players want to leave early (like Naz) people say he isn’t a one and done. He needs to stay and develop, etc.

It most certainly does. These kids have been playing against high school caliber kids and dominating basically by themselves. Now, they have to adjust to the speed and physicality of the game while also adjusting to playing team basketball against kids that are as good or better than them. Plus they have to figure out their role on the team.

funny how freshmen excel from day 1 on other teams all over the country. Guess it's just different here.

I will let John Calipari explain it to you then about his 2017 team...
quote:

That’s why Calipari is already stressing patience with this team, as he knows the growing pains will be here for awhile.

“I've always played young players, even when we were at UMass. I mean, I played guys as freshmen. So, I've always played freshmen. I just didn't always play all freshmen. Like, three guys, four guys, five guys,” said Calipari in his preseason Q&A.

quote:

"This is a totally different deal. This is kind of like we had in 2014 where you have a good group of kids, you have a talented group of kids, but they're not ready to win basketball games. They're exchanging baskets. That's where this team is.

By the way, that 2014 team went to the Final Four.
