I did, I figured some clarification would do better than the cat chasing its tail act that was happening with that discussion.

I understand the doomsday thing but you says you don’t think the scenario that could lead to it will happen. I don’t think it will either so why do you keep arguing that if will just to defend McMahon? He did have the worst tenure, I don’t know why that’s so hard to accept for some?

Your quote revealed you removed the first half of that sentence which was about their being decent being contingent on them getting another shooting combo guard.

That is why you quoted half of the sentence. You did not think you would get caught because you didn't show the link just the half quote. But that other fella asked you for the link and you got caught

You replied to me, but didn't answer any of my questions. Yet were talking to a different person?

the quotes attributed to me were cut to be misleading. i said "if we do x then i think Y. the other fella cut out the "if we do x" part to misrepresent what i said. the links are in this thread.

as to why mcmahon failed, in hindsight i think it was failure to build good team, along with some bad luck (cook being an idiot, Thomas getting hurt etc). i am elated he is fired, because i think wade is the best coach of all time, in any sport. however i dont think it was fair to say mcmahon was a bad on-court coach. i think he was a deficient off-court coach. today you have to aggressively fundraise at all times. i dont think he wanted to do that. i dont blame him.

when we used to argue about mcmahin, i resisted claims like "he mismanaged chest", and i think i have been vindicated. i also thought some players were good, like thomas and givens.

i think to coach here you have to be able to reel in big fish like chris cenac. mcmahon could not. maybe he was underfunded, i have no idea. people here will tell you (i think they are lying) that mcmahon was well funded and the university lied about it. i have seen no credible evidence for that.

at any rate i am glad he is gone, even though i liked him, he seemed like a nice fella. didnt win though, so he had to go.

this is untrue of course

I think he would have been pretty good. I actually don't think he was a bad coach

You still aren’t intelligent enough to reconcile your attempts to be witty and sarcastic now with your extensive history of supporting the worst coach in the history of lsu basketball.

you also pretend to have access to player payment data.

I think McMahon having a poor budget was his own fault

my belief is that McMahon was probably underfunded

for all we know LSU was not being funded well under McMahon

not sure what the gotcha here is, in that link I am saying basically exactly what I just said above, ,which is that McMahon doesn't fundraise and I am glad he was fired:

see, here is the quote from your link

"I think he hates fundraising and gladhanding people to fundraise and that just cant work anymore.

I think McMahon having a poor budget was his own fault. I don't blame him I would hate fundraising too. but wade is willing to do it, and it may be the most important part of modern coaching"

all of that I agree with, because I said it. perhaps you have disagreement. that's fine!

you seem unable to elucidate exactly how we disagree. that's fine. not everyone can speak well or make sane points.

Even your favorite coach in the world, that can do no wrong, didn't coach in the 22-23 season, after getting fired. I guess that was telling too.

One didn't coach because it was assumed hiring him would be accompanied by penalties from the ncaa.

Your coach isn't coaching because he proved to be the literal worst coach in the history of lsu basketball, and nobody except you, jamarr and the rest of the mediocrity lovers want him coaching their team.

please read more closely

Of course you don't. You're a legitimately stupid person.

No, you are saying exactly what I claimed you said that you characterized as "untrue of course"

But you're a legitimately stupid person, so you can't understand that.

Disagreement means there are 2 valid opposing points and neither is right or wrong. That is not what is happening here.

That’s not what I said. I said that I couldn’t understand why he wasn’t being played more by McMahon when our conference record slipped to what seemed like 2-58. No harm in trying something new but he REFUSED to change from what wasn’t working.

yes exactly I said we didn't know. people should not pretend to have access.

man I am winning this argument! yay! all the links you post are just me saying exactly what I claimed I said.

maybe the same reason he was not played by beard. do you know better than both coaches?

to be clear, you do not believe mcmahon failed to develop chest?

Here he is blaming the players in this very thread

quote:

I dont think a better coach could have done much better with those players.

And again
quote:

seems to me his players sucked

Here’s him mocking Wade, the guy he claims to be a bigger fan than anyone of
quote:

the best possible thing happened, which is wade, the best coach in basketball, possibly any sport, ever.

All from this thread so you don’t even need to back to his history because he does it all the time.

Blinded by what? A 17-55 conference record?

McMahon will never be a P4 head coach again. You can take that to the bank. What program will look at his LSU body of work and want that for their program?
