We were like #213 in assist per game last year but top 10 in offensive efficiency. More than one way to skin a cat. Higher assist numbers usually happen to the teams with the best shooting. LSU is not a good shooting team therefore you have a lack of assist.

This team definitely lacks in 1 on 1 playmaking, last night the offense actually looked well the 70% of the time they didn't turn the ball over.

17 assists I believe, That is a good number for this team.

This is his 5th year and his PG's have been Tremont, Skylar, Javonte (CG, but worked for the offense), and Pinson with Allen on the way. Your point makes no sense. You could say he didn't develop Pinson obviously but he recruited him here.

And Pinson was supposed to play more 2 and back up Miller with the most minutes at 1. If Miller were healthy Miller would be seeing 30 minutes at the 1, Pinson 20 minuets at the 1 and 2, Gaines 20 minutes at the 2 and Justice 10 minutes at the 2.

hasn’t been able to stay healthy

Because he slipped on a fast break where on the previous possession players were rolling on the court and wasn’t able to get the sweat cleaned up in time before Pinson was back down the court after a turnover and slipped on the sweat?

So that is just a great point u have there…bahaha

Yes I have it consists of a 5 star PF and C and a 4 star SF.

I guess u just conveniently left out the 5 star guard in Smart and the 4 star recruit in Waters…ur incredible analysis is just superb.

If you have complaints of Wade, you can find a few valid ones….this one is not.

Once again, you’re ignorance shines bright for all to see.

To be fair Justice probably doesn’t play this season if Miller and Pinson are healthy

The person I was replying to asked to if I had seen our recruiting class for next year, 2022. Didn’t realize Smart and Waters who’ve already left LSU were part of the 22 class.

So, you made a idiotic arse thread, and when it's pointed out to you, you decide to move the bar. Just admit you are clueless, and made a dumb arse thread. It's time to take your L and move on.

We don't have anyone at that level this year.

When we had those guys, fans were bitching about a lack of defense.
Remember when we seemed helpless in stopping Alabama's three point shooters, last season.

Wade will fix it.

Efficiency doesn't matter if you don't score.

The team with the most points wins.

Wade has done fine recruiting a pure PG, but I kind of agree with OP on depth.

Waters
Smart
Pinson

are your "true" PGs since Wade got here. Averaging 6, 4.2, and 4 assists per game, respectively.
Skylar & Gaines averaged 3.2 and 3.4 assists, respectively.

Idk what Gaines is.. call him a combo guard if you want.
Skylar was a combo guard. Cam Thomas was a pure SG. Miller is a SG.

Every year it seems like we only have one "true" PG who can provide a calm presence, facilitate the ball, run the offense, average more that 4 assist per game, and not turn the ball over constantly.
If he goes down, we don't have anyone behind with those identical skills.

The only year I can think of is 2018-19 when you have Javonte and Tremont on the same team.

Wade’s style of play lends itself to spacing and guards creating for themselves (ie not a lot of assists).People dont like it and call it streetball but whatever

In todays college basketball you aren't getting another true PG that can play to just sit on the bench and play some minutes here and there. Those guys are rare to begin with so the they gonna hit the portal and find a home relatively easy.

The only 3 players drafted into the NBA were guards

Waters
Mays
Thomas

Leading scorer every year until this season were guards

2017-2018 Waters
2018-2019 Waters
2019-2020 Mays
2020-2021 Thomas

Tremont Waters, helped develop Skylar Mays into an NBA player, Javonte Smart. Got Pinson from the transfer portal. Gaines has significantly improved from last season. What more do you want?
