Dude wanted to run run and shoot. That simple. Didn’t see many steals. If your team sucks and no one can take over, put him in.

I love you think you’re so clever and have some GOTCHA comment, when in reality your lack of basketball knowledge shows

Miller wants to be the man. He wants to be Cam Thomas. He wants 15+ shots a game. McMahon, right or wrong, is a team oriented guy. He has not had a good PG since he got here. He wants the team and the offense run through the PG. Period, POINT BLANK. So you can’t have 2 guys that NEED the offense run through them. Dominant PG, spot up shooters, interchangeable bigs (why do you think Tamba is starting?) that is what McMahon wants.

I wish we had Miller, but he left LSU and went to the worst team in the big 12..why? So he could score a million points. LSU is a make or break year and need guys to buy in.

Givens and miller struggled with average on ball defenders, sears got a bad rap, he improved but was ready to shoot vs setup an offense.

Sears was absolutely terrible. Miller should have been the 1b to Cam Carter. They were the only players with any offensive talent on last year's team.

LSU is in a bit better shape this year but barely. They are lacking a player like Miller. They need shooters and people that can create offense, and a second player that you feel comfortable having the ball in his hands, which Miller would have fit perfectly.

They have played 3 games. So per game stats do not matter. Do you not remember how bad he was when sec play started?

31.8% three point percentage. I think we have upgraded with McKinnon and King.

tell me you haven't watched the games without telling me. This team is lightyears deeper and more experienced than last year, and we actually have a PG and a unicorn player in Sutton who both shoots a high percentage from 3 and rebounds like a madman.

You're strawmanning my argument and calling it lack of ball knowledge

quote:

McMahon, right or wrong, is a team oriented guy. He has not had a good PG since he got here.

Cook was the ball dominant guard you are speaking of, and he got black balled off the team for being too ball dominant.

Hannibal was a solid PG and unselfish.

We have also seen numerous players/positions have to be ball dominant due to poor rotations, roster construction, and scheme:
Carter- SG
Wright- SF
Williams- C
Baker- C

quote:

So you can’t have 2 guys that NEED the offense run through them.

This is just fundamentally not true and based on a false premise. I personally think a backcourt of Thomas and Miller would be amazing.

VJ isn't even leading his team in average shot attempts per game.

quote:

He wants the team and the offense run through the PG. Period, POINT BLANK.

I never disagreed or said that he doesn't want the offense to run through the PG "period, POINT BLANK".

You can run the offense through the PG and still have a SG that primarily scores on ball. This isn't 1980. Basketball isn't as simple as having a ball dominant PG with 3 off-ball scorers and one down low bigman. The best players can drop the ball and score.

4 real? You can say sears was terrible, cool. But miller was shut down in half court come sec play.he was a confident scorer but in no way was better than sears. It’s sad your name is Lester earl.

Getting news - any news - out of the basketball program has been a challenge. No one cares, so no one covers and no one asks.
