The experience of getting blackout in Tigerland, stumbling over to Pluckers, having a bad hangover on Saturday morning, continue drinking/tailgating/blacking out throughout the day Saturday, screaming your head off at the game and going back out to the bars Saturday night is priceless.

Really depends on the kind of weekend you’re trying to have.
Lsu2006 has some good ideas too.
Chimes is good for food, pints, and pretty waitresses.
Barcadia has some drink specials during game day.

Win or lose, don’t be a jackass, don’t pick a fight and you’ll have a great time.

Be sure to bring an extra cowbell for the poster Rogue. He’ll appreciate it.

Stay away from any street named after a president.

But those named after a state are perfectly safe.

I left out the part where you return to Fred’s Saturday morning to close your tab/pick up your card and get your wristband for free cover when you return later at night.

Friday night go to Bogies or Freds.

A place to hang and from noon till 3 would be Chimes/The Varsity. They’ll have all the food, drinks and other games on during the day.

Use Uber or Lyft to get around, you do not want a DUI while on an away football game. Shouldn't cost much split between the group

Honestly, I walk between Tigerland (Fred's/Bogies) and the stadium every week.
It's not necessarily close, but if you got a buzz and some buddies with you it's not terrible.

George’s (on St. Louis St). Ask for the meat sandwich, you won’t be disappointed.
