Very athletic play by a very athletic player. Obviously he is safe bc I bleed P&G. If we were in the field, an obvious out.
Either way. It’s great to read the excitement on our first postseason game of the season.
Let’s carry this positivity for the next few rds.

Only if you’re a moron.

So with the tag……….does any part of the glove touch him and he is out? Or does it need to be full glove tag out? Because the edge of the glove obviously brushes the jersey first but the full tag was after.

Safe. There was no conclusive evidence to overturn that call.

yes -
That was technically an out even it it barely brushed a wrinkle in the shirt.
But it would take a slo-mo replay to see it.
The catcher obviously thought he had not made contact so he continued toward a solid contact.
No way any ump would see that in real time.
Don't know why they didn't overturn it in the review tho.

What do you call the shirt reacting to the glove contact??
look - I;ve been following LSU sports since 1948 - and have seen many many bad decisions, most of which seemed to go agains LSU. But I can recognize those rare occasions when we get a break - that was one of them.
Doesn't bother me a bit to say = "bad calls go both ways - we got by with one this time."

Are there really LSU fans in here trying to say that crews was out?
I would guess none of those people watched the game. There was an angle on the replay that clearly showed when Crews reached the plate, and you could see space between the glove and Crews body.
I saw the shirt argument last night. Are you idiots really under the assumption that when a player is running full speed, then diving and sliding across the dirt that their shirt would be perfectly still? The call was CONFIRMED, not just upheld. He was safe. And if you would reverse the jerseys in that situation, the Kentucky kid would have been safe.

Did he slide into home and feel a little foam?

Maybe a stupid question but do you have to tag the runner or the clothing? Maybe that's the argument being made.

the official had by far the absolute best view of the play. He literally was right on top of it, in that he was directly above it.
Exactly what I said last night
