That is exactly what Cadello, Choctaw, lsudm21, and Philosoraptor are saying. If you are an LSU athlete if you shoot someone in the face killing them on the spot with 3 witnesses you should not be presumed guilty and should continue to play. WHY? Because goddamnit they deserve it.

Please quote where someone said "exactly" that. Yet another simple word that you don't understand.

A guy getting his arse beat in a bar fight is an entirely different situation than someone being shot in the face. You're really grasping at straws now, Mr. Duke.

Are you implying that the BRPD should consider college athletics in doing their jobs?

i think all crimes should be treated/investigated equally....this investigation has been over the top.

Wow

Doc unless you know this yahoo personally, don't presume he doesn't.
I have evidence to prove this theory.
It's a very dark cell phone video and I think I hear someone say "This guy is racist" ...Yep me and the wife both heard it clear as day at the 5 second mark. If you don't hear that then you don't want to hear it.

Wait it's the 7 second mark ...Yep my wife and dog both heard it...Lucky rolled over to indicate to me it's true, he heard it.

We should get the whole BRPD involved and steal this man's shoes and swab his mouth.
He's guilty!

The only thing I don't get is why did the police stick around the LSU bar scene when there was no one at the place of the call.

1:32 am Off. Stone arrives at Shady's,- no one there

Left Shady's and went to Reggie's to see if he could find the suspect(during closing hour)

2:40 am Goes back to Shady's to see if the complaintent shows up???

This is a college bar. Unless, they had some information that some of the possible attacters were LSU player during the first visit, then the police were really overworking this case of 'a fight in progress'.

It evidently wasn't a fight in progress, and no one was hanging around by the time Off. Stone got there. Even with the time he took to get the bare facts to go to Reggie's, nobody from 'the fight' showed up.
So was it normal procedure to pursue the incident if no one is there?

Many wrecks are caused by excessive speed. There are plenty of statistics out there for you to check out.

I would pose to those who are condemning JJ: what if it turns out to be exactly as described by JJ's lawyer? He was not involved in the fight at all, except to usher the other players away from it. The girl's ID of him was either mistaken identity or something more nefarious, take your pick. Isn't this possible? If not, then why is it not possible?

Then they will retreat to:

- He is a senior leader and should not have broken curfew...he let him team down.

- I don't believe it...Team Sweep simply got the charges thrown out.

These guys blatant disregard for the laws is hilarious. You know though that if they got assaulted and battered they would be the first ones dialing 911 like a mofo so the cops showed up. Laws only apply to certain people in their opinion. I would like to know how they would have responded if they were the ones on the ground and broke 3 vertebrae from a swift kick to the head. If it was a non-LSU athlete are charges filed? No , but wait if it was done by an LSU athlete its all good they probably deserved that arse whooping.

Not everyone does drugs. The statement was "we all break the law" which may be true in the case of victimless crimes like speeding. However, most of us do not commit crimes that affect other human beings or even ones we feel are morally wrong. I actually know people who feel it is wrong to speed so not everyone even does that. It was just in relation to that one statement.

A statement made in response to the token racist's:

quote:

Is it okay for everyone to break the law or only certain people?

These guys have absolutely no logical arguments left they have been completely destroyed. If they could they would deus ex machina this entire situation and JJ would lead us to the BCSNCG.

It is hard to argue with facts. The police had enough to go on to arrest JJ. Miles waited as long as he could and had to make the best choice for the team. It is done and will not be undone. Now we can all watch the legal process play out to find out what happens. We may never know all the facts.

Interestingly, this situation is sort of like a deus ex machina for the team.

i've been in and witnessed many bar fights and have many friends on the police force. Neither i nor they have ever seen anything as over the top and downright fubar as this "investigation".

I don't get "assault and battered" because I'm not a douchebag.
