Thank you.

I'm not a participant in this case
The participants in the case had a much better view than the video offers
And obviously these same participants stated that they saw the JJs do the kicking
The videos confirm beyond a reasonable doubt that a defenseless man was kicked while on the ground, supporting the eyewitness accounts

Arrest warrants and search warrants only require "reasonable suspicion" and that's it.
Reasonable suspicion can be based on the story from one person.
But they waited a full week or so to file... so I suspect they considered beyond that (and when we see the warrants we will know).
That's all it takes.

In this case, the police could have relied merely on Lowery's story alone.
But we dont know. Shouldnt we 'know' what evidence they have before passing judgment based on 3 seconds of footage of a multi minute brawl?

true to both your questions. whats your point?

quote:I was just talking about the analysis of the video. That's it. Before I look for self-defense evidence in the video, someone should show that Jefferson committed an a crime in the video.quote:A video is required to show his guilt?
Thus, someone should show that Jefferson is in the video before we go to the trouble of putting up a defense.
quote:You've said "3 second" twice. You know that the video is much longer than three seconds, right? It's almost two minutes long.
Or is that only required when a 3 second snippet of a multi minute incident exists?

Correct and for the vast majority of that, nothing at all can be seen although there is action going on (if: a) we believe the bouncers who say Lowery through the first punch as at the 5 second mark we can see someone being dragged... so it must predate that or b) we believe Lowery and his rescue story... it probably predates the drag as the drag occurred after that guy was beat).
The point being is there is a several minute melee involving 4 potential victims and we really only have anything resembling footage of the action on one of them for 3-4 seconds (and yes I cant identify shite in that 3-4 seconds)

but perhaps we should humor the process and get an understanding of what they have or dont have before condemning them for a shitty job and wrong judgement?
That is what is happening, and as we continue to "get an understanding," it seems more and more likely that the charges won't stick.

And all I've EVER asked is that we, as fans, give the players this same leeway...until we KNOW what evidence exists, it's ridiculous to proclaim someone's guilt and suggest they move along out of the program.
Instead, what we've gotten was proclamations from nearly day one about how awful JJ is and how he needs to go, etc.
The time will come when we will know as much about what happened as we ever will. When that happens, we will all have our opportunities to declare Jefferson a pariah if the evidence warrants it, or welcome him back if the evidence is lacking. Other than a desire to see the kid removed from the field, what benefit has there been in rushing to judgement here by fans?

Don't casty me, bitch.
Can you please just come out and admit the reason you are so adamantly in favor of keeping JJ suspended is because you want to see JL start and get his "chance" (which we all know, he already had) to be the starter for the whole season?
Damn that's a jacked up sentence.

No we are having more definitive statements back and forth that the BRPD are incompetent or that JJ is guilty for sure etc....

I am not sure what the understanding we supposedly have is. I am still curious that there were 10-15 football players there who I presume had a front row view. Why have they not all marched down voluntarily to the police department to tell their side of the story. If it is plain Jane innocence and self defense, I would suspect this would happen (yes I am speculating here). Think about it, 2 players have been charged and suspended... 10 teammates or so are potential witnesses and none, to our knowledge, have asked to give a statement... just strikes me as odd.

Sigh
You must think I think JL is some awesome qb like TIGRLEE and robbbobb
I guarantee you this is not the case

I have signed search warrants and arrest warrants.
Probable cause means reasonable suspicion and reasonable suspicion can be supported by one person's story.
Not exactly correct.

Did ya'll see this?
quote:
Can you point to anyone in the video that matches the description of Jefferson?
Well, some feared the guy in all black was JJ cause someone looking at the video decided the "fricked" kicker was a tall black male with JJ's build.
Since the video has come out showing the guy labeled as JJ wearing a light colored top, some now view the fight video as worthless or really there are 2 kickers or 3 kickers or 2 kickers and a stomper.
Go figure.......

You would think so, but based on who was arrested and the accounts in the initial report, I'm not so sure.

I wish Shady's had more video released and see what player was in all black.....

Except...the 'poor victim' was not "defenseless".
It was a fight.
He was not laid out, unconscious. You see him moving.
Case closed.
