Look I can tell you for a fact that Jay was very unhappy with the way things were set up this year. He was very frustrated with Woodward. The comments he made last week were no doubt done on purpose to send a message to Verge.

He's doing what he should be doing. He still knows how good he's got it here. He's coached at Arizona.....he knows the difference.

Jay loved Woodward and one of the main worries with letting Woodward go was how close their relationship was

Don’t think so-Woodward favored WBB more than baseball-he allocated 5% of rev share to WBB and none to baseball

CJJ definitely not happy with that. Verge said he just changed that to baseball getting 5% now

Not true

And you can go look up multiple interviews where Jay praised Woodward. The last recent being on espn gameday jsut this year where he said he was the best AD in the nation for baseball….

He did? How is that possible when he isn’t cutting the rev share from football, men’s basketball, or women’s basketball?

Verge said only 7 sport teams will get a % of rev share now

Ok so explain how baseball will get 5%

Men’s football, basketball, and women’s basketball will still make up 95%

So if 4 more teams are splitting 5% how does baseball get the full 5?

There's no way to know if he got the best candidates he could get at the time, there was basically no interview process. Who knows who we would have wound up with if Kiffin hadn't worked out. They didn't even fire the previous BB coach until Wade was already on the plane.

"It's what the fans wanted" is BS and won't protect him if one or both don't work out.

I did, you need to watch it

The only thing being adjusted is the allocation of the last 5%. And as he said multiple teams, including baseball, will split that 5% still. Baseball is not getting a full 5% in rev share

He made it clear only the “back end 5% is being adjusted”. Sounds like some teams will get more scholarships but will have their rev share decreased like track. But that still leaves baseball clearly below 5%

The increase in rev share will be marginal as it always was. It never should have been a story to begin with

You couldn't be more incorrect.

Jay was not happy with the revenue share. That came straight from his mouth.

It also came straight from his mouth he loved Woodward

He is always going to continue to fight for more money regardless who the AD is…

Thinking this is going to end jay asking for more because he went from 1% to 2.5% is wishful thinking

Believe what you want to believe. He's been very frustrated with the admin the past year. I can tell you that for a certainty. It's more about treating baseball like the priority it should be.

You’re quite literally the only person saying Jay and Woodward got along. About every reputable source on On3 said that was completely untrue. In fact wooodward the architect of giving Jay little to no revenue share

Apparently he expects Jay to say in an interview how pissed he is at his boss.

He reiterated how much he loved Woodward AFTER Woodward was fired

Two things can be true, Jay and Woodward can be very close personally and like each other, and may be frustrated with his rev sharing amount

Track is a black hole of money with basically no pay back.

Women’s basketball is staying the same yet baseballs funding is going up. Hoenstly, that doesn’t make much sense. Baseball going to take an extra 0.5% from track? Whatever baseball gets in increase from rev share is completely marginal. The rev share thing has been so misreported and over exaggerated in terms of importance

Some of the smaller sports don’t need rev share funds. They need scholarships. Verge was saying that he’s diverting more scholarships to those programs in exchange for redirecting more of the rev share funds to baseball to get them closer to 5%.
