For a long time, LSU tried to be “better” by doing shite like having higher academic standards, having higher drug standards, self reporting, trying to work with the NCAA and its investigations, and all it did was make LSU look worse nationally.

The schools that stay elite don't give a flying fluck about rules, and never have. That's why they win.
You CANNOT run a clean program AND win big in the 2 major sports. It's been that way for decades, and the media provides cover for the Duke's, Bama's, and others of the world. As a result some simpletons fall for the BS that elite programs can be run cleanly.
I'd be in shock if "bag men" aren't still a thing as well. What are the odds that bags of under the table cash aren't still being distributed along with "legit" NIL deals?
It's well past time we joined the club, and go balls to the wall to win.
