That’s just wishful thinking. They maybe beat aggy in game 1 and possibly pinch one of those other close losses. Maybe 2. Still so so far from a tournament team. The 2 other underfunded shite teams next to us in the standings beat us handily at home. Thomas and Reed don’t prevent south carolina beating us by 25 at half. The team just wasn’t good.

It’s bullshite it what it is. There is zero evidence to support a statement like that

How many coaches does Vandy have. Just saw coach talking to team in locker room and counted 10 dudes besides the head coach. Guessing they have a bunch of analysts or something. It’s working whatever they are doing

And Wade lost to Ga Tech and ND. 2 of the 3 worst teams in the ACC at home. So what. And yes they do help us from being down 28 at half against SC. TAM twice, KY, Bama, Tenn, TX, SC , Vandy , Miss St all winnable. All they needed to win was 7 and they were in.

And in two seasons he’s won playing two different styles. Says a lot about that coach

Wrong. Tack transferred after the 2005 season following the loss to UAB in the NCAA tourney. Garret Temple was the point guard on the 2006 Final Four team. Brady didn't lose anyone to season ending injuries that year. Tyrus missed a few games with an ankle injury but retruned for the post season.

Tasmin was injured in the second game of the 2007-2008 season during a game against James Harden and Arizona State, but Brady's firing was not all related to the record, it was also due to his relationship's with administration officials. A better comparison would be losing Lamont Roland in 2001 early in the SEC season.

The frick does this have to do with Thomas and Reed not being the second coming of Curry and Andrew Bogut? McMen love injecting wade into discussions that aren’t even about him

Ok i’ll give you Kentucky. Maybe with one of those guys available we don’t choke an 18 point home lead.

Being down 28 at home to the 2nd worst team in the league isn’t solved by having a player and a half available. The likes of bama, vandy and Tennessee didn’t even take us seriously and still won relatively easily. Mississippi state was up 44-17 in the first half in the pmac and im pretty sure one of your injured stalwarts was available that night.

He missed the majority of the final four year with a knee injury then got dismissed in January 2007. Try again

It doesn't really fricking matter what you lable him as he was an experienced SEC player who had shown good growth and development from his freshman year to his second season. He is a talented player and has better skill sets in some areas than Nwoko and other SEC forwards and was a huge loss both seasons. I have never claimed he was an All American and don't claim they contend for the SEC with him and Thomas, but this team would have been a hell of a lot more competitive and had a reasonable chance to make the NCAA tournament with them. Nwoko had a really good season but foul trouble plagued him. Reed had more range and was a better rebounder.

SC up by 28 in the first half (in the PMAC!) and Miss State up by 27 in the first half (in the PMAC!) should have been firable offenses, and would have been in previous regimes. Not to mention the huge leads evaporating in home games vs Kentucky and Georgia.

LSU basketball fans were treated to some breathtakingly bad play this season

Wrong. Tack was the starting point guard going into 2005-2006 season but he got injured. The next year he was healthy. He started in 2006 but left the team in 2007.

I watched Reed before he had to call it quits, in-person at the PMAC. You could tell he was not going to be able to play with his knee injury. If McMahon could not see that Reed was severely limited, it’s an even worse indictment of his lack of competency as a coach.

Come on guys does tigersbb have to spell it out for you. Losing Thomas and Reed was the equivalent of losing Magic Johnson and James Worthy in there prime. We are talking a national championship team with those two healthy right Tigersbb!

Reed? The Jackson Joker. Probably a top 3 pick in this years draft, only question is which order he, Dybantsa and Peterson go. Boozer was in there but Reed’s rapid fire, 25 foot range has to put him ahead.
