They would put the game in ATL before putting it in Nola.
Georgia Dome is out of the picture.

Media has portrayed it as being an entire city under water. Talked to a few in the area, not that bad at all. Once water is restored game will be played in Columbia.
The outlying areas have issues. I don't see them moving the game though

They can't put it in Atlanta.
I think Charlotte is their first option if they can work around the NASCAR race.
Baton Rouge is probably the second option. I think the Superdome would be more fair to SCAR.

Problem is, many folks would need to get there from outer areas.

Georgia Tech's out of town. Possibly there?

SCAR might not want a true road game, since I bet it's unlikely they alter the SEC schedule in 2021 to make LSU travel to Columbia that year.
No way we agree to 5 sec road games in a given year...

Still a problem.

I don't want us on that turf. We need grass.

The roads and other infrastructure issues are the concern. I've already looked at routes to bypass Columbia for the drive to Charlotte if necessary.

Flooding was very localized but still devastating. USC classes are cancelled all week and the majority of the city does not have running water. They could play the game and probably will but this was/is a major disaster.

Exactly.
If they play here this year, they'll still have to come here in 2021.
So I bet playing the game in BR is the absolute last resort.

So if I decided to book flights into Charlotte I'd be fricked, right?
If on Delta, yes. But I'd always call and politely ask...they'll know the weather waiver is in place and would consider allowing the change/cancellation.
Be advised, you only get one "free" change. And you may have to escalate to a supervisor...but generally they are flexible and understanding if you're courteous with them.

Are you hearing anything on the game location, man?

I think it's AA. I'll be polite with them... unless they screw me over. Then I'll raise hell.
