No. It doesn't. College stadiums are run by a school admin. Theyre not in a position to get things together like this when they have their own games to worry about.

Athens is closer to Columbia than Atlanta is, and their stadium is plenty big enough. It makes just as much sense as half the other locations.
No, it makes less sense than other actual neutral site games.

That's just a guess.
you mean it's not what your "sources" tell you?

They want Charlotte bad but haven't gotten it worked out yet I don't think.
Why are they being so dead set on Columbia or Charlotte? Quit being stubborn and just have it in BR already.

Is there precedent for this? Why on Earth would any athletic department not involved in this game want any part in dealing with hosting it short notice?
Yes, there is. A few years back, ECU moved their game against Miami to Carter-Finley Stadium (NC State), I believe due to a hurricane.

NASCAR in Charlotte plugin up the hotels and the Panthwrs are working on their field.

Probably have LSU confirmed and waiting to hear from Charlotte before they make the call.

What makes college stadiums any different than pro stadiums?
dealing with other universities and fan bases, whereas a true neutral site is a pro stadium...

Tanner is looking out for USC's best interests...as he should.

It would still be a neutral site. Its been done before. Not ideal, and not saying it would happen, but I bet USCe would want it there over all the other options minus Charlotte.

If USCe cannot get Charlotte, they will pick BR. It's really simple. Those two sites are the only two which make any financial sense here.

Thats really different than USC playing LSU in Athens though.

So how many white stripes will these zebras have?
Posted on 10/6/15 at 2:49 pm to DollaChoppa
I wonder if SC safety officials are telling the university not to make fans get in their cars and drive through the state to get to a place like Charlotte. That seems sort of counter to the news reports about roads, bridges, etc.
Posted on 10/6/15 at 2:50 pm to TigerNE
300+ roads shut down throughout the state. this game will be played in BR IMO

Yes, due to proximity. If Clemson were available, I have no doubt that would be option #1.

I-77 is open, and we're still 4 days from kickoff.
