Aranda #1 and they say he is barely worth it (DO NOT agree with that statement) and Canada #4 was overpaid.

Although Canada is good, there may be 10 better OCs. Can't really think of a better DC (at least for Xs and Os) than Aranda right now. He kept our arse in some games that could've gotten away in a hurry. So I'm fine with the pay.

Yeah no way is he overpaid considering O is HC. I can understand the view that Canada was overpaid even though I do think both O and to some extent Etling held back the offense this season.

3. John Chavis, Texas A&M defensive coordinator

Total pay: $1.6 million

Verdict: Overpaid. Though the Aggies finished the regular season above .500 at 7-5, Chavis' defense has been mediocre at best, ranking 81st in scoring defense and 59th in yards allowed per game. For a man being paid twice as much as some of his Power Five peers, that just isn't good enough.

Piss poor evaluation. Aranda and Canada are overpaid for market value to keep them out of reach of other positions and prevent a revolving door atmosphere while we try to put some direction to the program post Miles.

Aranda is being paid what he is because LSU likes what he has been able to do with the large amount ofturnover from the draftees.

Canada was paid that amount to come inject some diversity and rebuild a lackluster scheme. Yeah, we were 54th this year but last yr we were 114th.

Also these salaries were purposely set high and offset by a lower HC salary...

Canada underpaid. Deserves more for putting up with O's meddling.

LSU offensive rankings:

Yards per game

2016-59th-423 yds/game
2017-53rd-412 yds/game

Scoring

2016-68th-28.3 pts/game
2017-72nd-28.1 pts/game

We went down in yards per game and points per game with Canada.........

Did you pull that 114 ranking from last year straight out your arse?

Canada is overpaid in a vacuum.

But considering our head coach and our situation, we are going to have to overpay for coordinators here at LSU.

Aranda deserves to be the highest paid defensive coordinator in college football.

The Chief What an overpaid clown he was. Got his reputation off of LSU athletes just like others have, so I can't be mad at him. Lol

Aranda is barely worth it?

13th in FBS in total D and 17th in scoring D. And we had to replace a lot of veteran starters from last years team too.

It’s so obvious to see which “sports writers” don’t actually watch or understand the sports they are covering.

Not only is Aranda worth it, but considering how much he means to LSU and valuable he is, you could say he’s actually underpaid.

Canada is overpaid in a wide open room
Canada is overpaid in a cluster

Canada is overpaid near the North Gates
Canada is overpaid in Louisiana
Canada would suck in all the states
Even goddamn Alabama

Canada would suck in Gator blue
He sucks on Death Valley's grass
Canada sucks at LSU
And he can carry his sucking arse

yeah. our yards/game didn't necessarily go up but more yards doesn't necessarily translate into wins (or we would have beaten bama).
We may have posted slightly fewer yards but I don't think many would argue that our offense is a good bit more multidimensional than it was last year, making it harder to prepare for and defend against.
This doesn't mean that I think Canada is paid at value. I agree that he is overpaid AT THIS POINT. If he's here for another year or two and our numbers don't improve dramatically I'll be kind of shocked.

I would argue

We got less yards and scored less points than last year, meaning this years offense was absolutely easier to defend
