Wall a, no way the rose bowl is as loud as duck stadium, even an Lsu fan should know that.

hearing things like that make me, just once, want to be standing on the field when it is packed and everyone is yelling on a crucial 3rd down or something.

Being in the stands really wouldnt do it much justice since you arent getting the yelling fro all around

You are correct. It is MUCH louder on the sidelines than in the stands. I have been in both places and it's no comparison.

I hate to break it to ya but a lot of our noise is due to acoustics too.

A lot of our noise is due to me!

Georgia 2003

Best game I have ever been to. Tenn 05 was loud for a while, but then the heat and fatigue set in.

Georgia 03, when the crowd still didn't expect to win, was EPIC. That was as good as Tiger Stadium can be.

My ear drums were actually hurting after the UGA 03 game like after a loud concert. It was constant volume from 1st quarter to 4th - ear drum rattling loud. And forget the person next to you hearing what you said, even if you yelled in his ear.

Florida 07 was nowhere near as loud.

I got to be on the field for every home game between 2001 and 2007.

I can say, without a doubt, the UGA game in 2003 was the best atmosphere of the decade, with UF 2007 coming in a close second.

The UGA game atmosphere was loud and sustained about an hour before kickoff, all the way through to the end. Amazing game. Reminded me of being in the stadium in the early 80's. Sometimes I wish I was old enough to have experienced TS in the 70's as well.

Been to both and TS is louder & more intimidating

+1

Autzen doesn't have the history, tradition that Tiger Stadium has. It does not have the "mystique" of Tiger Stadium which exists outside of the stadium with the Roman Colisseum style look of the place to the storied field and sultry, hot weather that has brought fog clouds rolling in that look like the death angel from the Ten Commandments.

My boss won a package at a charity auction that allowed him, me, and two co-workers to watch the Alabama game from the sidelines last year. Unbelievably loud. I don't know how opposing coaches can concentrate.

I'm thinking '07 was pretty damn loud too.

I was on the field for pregame for the LSU/UF game in '07. Definitely the loudest I've ever heard that place.

Can't believe no one mentioned the 97 Florida game. One of the loudest I've ever been to. Remember it being louder in the 4th than the 03 Georgia game, but 03 Georgia was louder start to finish. Can't compare it to 07 Florida because unfortunately wasn't there.

Being on the field for pre-game is a hoot, the sound literally hits you as the band starts to march and play.
