Sorry if Germans... Urban just said on ESPN that Tiger Stadium is the loudest stadium he has ever been in. They were speaking specifically of the '09 game. Urban said even with his head set on he couldn't hear. He took the set off to hear what it really sounded like. He then said he looked down at this pant legs and said they were shaking due to the vibration of the stadium.

Just another tidbit to get me more fired up for the season.

hearing things like that make me, just once, want to be standing on the field when it is packed and everyone is yelling on a crucial 3rd down or something.

Being in the stands really wouldnt do it much justice since you arent getting the yelling fro all around

+1

+10 when the final score of Stanford-USC was announced. It was already as loud as I thought it could go. I've described the otherworldy cheer that rose up when the USC loss was announced as if we had collectively invoked it.

I looked for the article but can't find it but CBS had decibel meters and i believe the '07 UF game set the record at around 130. I think it was 129.7

Oregon may have broken it since then though.

My ears were ringing throughout the night after that game. LSU students might not be as loud as they were but when Florida started the ball game backed up in the end-zone by the student section, I've never been in such an electric environment.

Well I guess we can agree on one thing at least with the help of the link of the article I left a couple posts up from here is that Death Valley and Autzen are probably the two loudest stadiums there are especially at night! I'm sure you guys are the same way but when the other team has the ball we all scream each down no matter what. That's one thing the coaches from opposing teams say is that the noise is loud at Autzen no doubt but it's the way it is sustained is another thing when the opponent has the ball. Obviously night games are wilder and louder for reasons I believe we all know.
