Upgrades to Death Valley

Do you think there should be some upgrades to the stadium soon?
If so, what are those?
I was personally thinking the screens they [relatively] recently installed is now small with today standards and also have low quality. Thank god they're repairing them now at least - Well, I hope they don't install screens like the ones in PMAC, which are curved inside and only certain people can actually see them.
But, also, it seems LED lighting has also become trendy and it shouldn't be very expensive either. As cool as it is, I hope we, too, have something like that soon.
Since we're selling out the seats these recent years, upgrading the stadium should be a priority for LSU now.

Is that already planned? Do you have any link/source?

No. The next thing done to the stadium will be renovating and upgrading the Lawton Room (where most gameday recruiting happens)

Concessions and concourse needs improvements
Looks like a basement

Concession infrastructure is high on the priority list as well. After the Lawton Room. The way it’s set up makes it really hard for concessions (lack of a kitchen) and hard for people to walk by when there is a line.

CONCESSIONS....Why do we have the best food in the country and the worst concessions in the SEC
Is it because joe a went with the cheapest package that aramark offered...our concessions ARE TERRIBLE....

Sound system sucks bad. Restrooms take to long especially for the ladies. Need to add more restrooms upper south end zone. Food I don't purchase since I can eat way better food done outside at my tailgate. Lines for purchasing food or drinks is terrible but I guess that is just the way it has to be. Like the first line said sound system sucks I can not understand anything being said by the stadium announcer when presenting folks on the field or giving out info.

I hope they don’t do the disco shite like the gumps

How about reducing the size of the stadium.-like Arkansas is doing. All those people, plastic cups, electricity and farts-that carbon footprint must be huge. Hipsters on campus that believe we are going to die in 12 years; everytime you step into that stadium, you are contributing to your own demise.

Sound system ASAP
The first thing they could do to fix that is replace the play by play announcer. The guy was getting some of our own players wrong, he is horrible.
Don't know what kind of face lift they could do, but the concourses could certainly look a little nicer.

I wish they could find a way to show the score, timeouts, down and distance in a less confusing way. I swear it takes me 30 seconds to figure anything out when looking at the scoreboard.
I don’t know why they can’t just show it like it’s done on TV.

Need to install speakers in south end zone. PA can barely be heard.
Upper south end zone restrooms are still old and antiquated. Entries are so narrow that folks going in and coming out have to squeeze thru.

LED lighting is the way to go as far as illuminating large areas are concerned. I’m in favor of that. It’s much more efficient than incandescent.
BUT, I do not want a flashing light show at Tiger Stadium. I think it’s tacky. But more importantly, it’s a huge safety issue. I know people don’t want to hear this, but there are a lot of people with medical issues associated with flashing lights. I’m one of them. If it comes to Tiger Stadium, I’ll never see another night game again. I’ve been going to games since 1980. That would suck.

I don’t know how any self respecting Tiger fan could refer to Dan Borne as “the play by play announcer” or “the guy.”
And no, the first thing they could to fix the sound system would be to actually fix the sound system. Why they have never put speakers in the south end zone, I’ll never understand.

Well a good place to start is with the Turkish prison like men’s restrooms in many parts of the stadium. Whoever designed the layout of these needs a arse whipping. With the selling of beer in TS it has gotten worse.

Well he sucked for the Auburn game, for sure. I never noticed that before. I wasn't sure if they had a sub. And I wasn't the only one who noticed, An older gentleman near commented on the fact that he kept making mistakes regarding which players made a play.
My apologies to Mr Borne.

My statement may have been a tad hyperbolic.
I have read that the south end zone speakers were initially installed but created some issues with echoes and interference from the opposite side speakers making it even more difficult to understand anything. If that is true they need to get some acoustic specialists to help them design something better than the have.
