Stephen Perry who was the past chair of the BOS knows Woodward well. If Woodward is the guy, he is being courted by Perry

Stephen was behind the hiring and retention of Emmeret as Chief of Staff to Foster for six years. He knows a leader when he sees one

The WW fiasco was the nail in the coffin. Suspend him right before the post season just to reinstate him with no changes in the legal status. All our players end up leaving.
Dumb.

Let's go black flag and hire Tom Jurich.

because he hasn't had any actual success that proves he's worthy of being our coach.

- Win the SEC West? nope.
- Beat Bama? nope.
- Establish a better offense than Les Miles? Not yet. Maybe this year?

Let's be honest here. People only think Orgeron is exceeding expectations because the expectation were lowered dramatically when he was hired. If Les Miles was still our coach with the exact same results as Orgeron, people would be calling for him to be fired.

he got 10 wins when they were barely expected to get 7

the team handled the then #2 ranked team in the country

and got another top-10 win on the road

everyone knows a transition period takes about 3-5 years... he's only on year 3

let's at least give him the transition period... esp. if he's still getting double digit wins

didn't it suck when the Dome Patrol Saints ran up against the Joe Montana/Steve Young/Jerry Rice 49ers? B/c that's what LSU (and the rest of the SEC) is facing right now with Saban's Alabama

What a wonderful day for LSU, and therefore of course, the world.

I think a lot of people are going to ignore Orgeron's actual success simply because of how Alleva hired him.... or just the fact that Alleva was the one that hired him.

First of all, Orgeron's actual success is inflated because of how low everyone's expectations were. If you take that out of the equation, he's roughly equivalent to Miles.

Second, Alleva deserves no credit for whatever success Orgeron is able to achieve. He hired Orgeron through the most flawed coaching search I've ever witnessed. Sometimes you get lucky and bad decisions work out. Maybe this is one of those cases but he shouldn't be let off the hook because he got lucky.

I am not saying that Joe made the best hire possible but if you are looking at the development of our football team over the last 2.5ish years and you still don't think O is at the very least a "qualified head coach" then you have your head in the sand.

He wins the games that any coach at LSU would win...he cannot beat more qualified coaches like Saban, Mullen and Fisher.

even in a 36-16 drubbing of UGA, LSU found a way to leave points on the board with 5 FGs inside of 40 yards. anyone in that stadium that day who says they weren't nervous at 19-9 is a bonafide liar.
