Why am I an alter? Because I don't have the same agenda as your grammatically challenged self does? Guaranteed if I was negative, you wouldn't say a word. Any new poster that is positive though the haters can't stand and is obvious alter according to y'all.

We beat the #3 team in the country in 2014 and we were an 8-5 team that year.

I understand. My point was two-fold: (1) we got to the national title because of teams that lost in final week. This refutes Rick's point that rank is based on what other teams lose. We got to that game only because of other teams that lost; (2) rankings are not everything but they do count.
Ultimately titles (aka finishing 1st) trumps any other standard. So I agree with you. Granted titles are the ultimate measure of success, but not the only measure of success.

I wasnt just talking about NC. I was talking about sec title too.
But yes a 2 loss title season
Is worse than a 1 loss title season.
My point is we fired les miles because it was deemed underachieving to lose to bama, lose to multiple inferior teams and have a shite offense.
That describes 2018.
Im not talking about firing anyone or that this season was shite, but im also not sitting here saying we have arrived or that 2018 was great.

Well we were almost always the favorite under miles. I wont use that as a negative thats a good thing.

But we shellacked a top 20 (final ranking) A&M in the cotton bowl and lost 2 games by a combined 15 points to the NC and #12 (final ranking) Arkansas.

Hell... NC (Finishing ranked #1 in the country) with 1 or 2 losses was pretty damn sweet. I'd think it's splitting hairs to say one better than the other. That final rank and title outweighed number of losses, IMHO. Therefore rank, outweighs number of losses.

Which is why 3 losses sucks so bad. It put you completely out of the realm of possibility for a NC.

New positive posters come through all the time. Maybe if 95 % of yournposts werent litered with unprovoked personal attacks, poster wouldnt have a problem with you. I checked your post history when you had 10 posts and 7 of them you mare personal attacks.
You dont have to personally attacks posters if you disagree with them
