According to Hrrr we'd be lucky to start at 5. Depending on Moo St travel plans we may not be able to play at all

Just not smart if the goal is to play a game today

What do you think the better option would be? The Weather Channel is showing over 95% chance of rain from noon until 3, there's no way they'd be able to pull the tarp to start the game on time.

Its pretty simple. 2pm gives you an 8 hour window to start the game, they are willingly reducing that window to 4 hours. I get the forecast, but the weather is somewhat unpredictable, using last night as an example. Why would you willingly reduce your window to play?

From a coaching standpoint, if you are 95% sure you can't start at 2, why would you have your players ready to go just to sit around at the stadium for several hours? I understand your point about the playing window, but we aren't talking about a chance of rain starting at game time. It's supposed to rain all morning and afternoon, there will be no time to pull the tarp and have the field playable.

Glad that we are prioritizing getting the games in.

That 5%.

They did it last night. They’re college kids, they can handle it. There are plenty of things they can do to occupy their time. Obviously its not ideal.

That's pussified. Baseball was meant to be played in the rain.
