This website melted hard about Tate and one of the first things he did was allow frats back on the parade grounds

So you’re saying the melts worked?

I think Obama or Kamala would make great replacements.

Considering we have played for the NC four times during that period, and won 3....I'll take the next 19 years exactly how that period played out.

I think we can do better and be more consistent, but I’m not complaining. I’ll take the average when we are still rising up to win titles.

I’m just pointing out that anyone saying we are “historically better” than what we’ve seen the last three seasons is wearing some purple-colored glasses and needs to check some tape. We are objectively NOT better than 9-10 wins and 3 losses this century. The averages are what they are.

People look too much at 10 win seasons.....give me a title every 5 or 6 years and I'll be happy with some lower win levels

You all can hyperbole the accomplishments of Tate all you want. LSU admissions went to shite under Tate. Tate/ LSU has done zero keeping Louisiana's best in state. Way too many good students went to other state universities in the Southeast and Texas who would have other wised stayed with just a little effort or incentive.
Imo, this probably has less to do with LSU, and more to do with not wanting to send your kid to school in Baton Rouge. (Coming from an lsu alum who still lives in BR) The university is fine but it’s surrounded by ghetto and I’ve only seen it getting worse the last 5-10 years. Hopefully things get cleaned up with the new mayor.
Also plenty kids just want to get away and experience something different.

I won’t miss Tate. After his vax mandate I was ready for him to go.

LSU needs another Mark Emmert type: The academics of Michigan with the culture of Louisiana.

Nobody knows who he is, but I’d consider Oliver Garden as a replacement, dean of the LSU vet school. Guy is a rock star at what he does.

Tate was much better than initially thought but not great. Every governor has been involved with LSU president hires. That’s actually not unique to Louisiana, but I’m sure it’s worse here with the politics these presidents move around like football coaches so let’s see who they pick next

That would be an interesting and high-profile move, why do you think they would fit?

isn't LSU test optional? how can we know the average if people are being admitted with no scores?

Kelly is 100% gone if LSU does not make playoffs. About 50% chance Woodward is gone in the next year, percentage goes WAY up if LSU does not make playoffs. CMM is not getting another year barring a NCAA Tournament run (has to win at least 1 NCAA tournament game). Just making the tourney will not be enough most likely. Those are the major dominos in the next year.

Read a lot of dumb shite on this site, but this is up there. Unless you can back up this baseless claim with actual money.. stfu and send this to your friends in a group text

BINGO!!! That claim is the biggest bogus stat ever. With test optional admission, the ONLY students who submit their test scores are those who hope to compete for scholarships. Of course, recent classes have the highest test scores.

Worst thing Tate did at LSU was sign off on fat Woodward firing Wade and letting Woodward hide behind him like a weasel.

Other than that he was great

Dr. Eric Monday

Former LSU grad is currently at KY. His name is going to be mentioned as a possible candidate.

quote:

Dr. Eric N. Monday was named Executive Vice President for Finance and Administration (EVPFA) in December 2012 and also serves as the Co-Executive Vice President for Health Affairs (EVPHA). As the EVPFA, Monday ensures compliance with the university and external fiscal requirements, provides human resources management, ensures equal opportunities in academic programs and employment, coordinates university-wide planning, budgeting and policy analysis, maintains the physical facilities and property management, manages central procurement, provides risk management, and directs auxiliary and operational campus services, as well as supervises Coldstream Research Campus internal audit, UK analytics and technologies.

quote:

Prior to his arrival at the University of Kentucky, Monday was Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administrative Services and Chief Financial Officer at Louisiana State University (LSU), a senior level position at that state's flagship university that he held since 2010.
