This is comforting somewhat. I still for the life of me can't understand why Les thought that stoops was an option

quote:No argument here. Many here saw this as an opportunity to do some house cleaning. If Miles isn't going to do it, it should start with him at the end of the pointy stick instead of holding it. If he's willing to do at least some, then he escapes... for now.
Then you should feel good to know that our AD and HC are looking at the big picture and not just the DC hire right now. I too wish that they could make this happen quicker but it's just not that easy.
A "us vs them" mentality has developed at LSU. The "us" is the coaching staff. The them is the admin. All well and good for those that hate Alleva. But when that happens, people get complacent. Why put out the extra effort when you know your boss (Miles) will cover for you or at least resist strongly any action taken against you.
This is the result of "loyalty to a fault". The only way to correct it is to remove that loyalty, or Miles has to feel the heat so that he insists on productivity.

Les was never going to hire Stoops. Agents often join together to play these d#mn mind games for money with universities, Okla was the victim this time. Didn't cost LSU anything so quite whining.

So it seems the DL position is still being sorted out

LSU fans made a demi-god out of Chavis the last few years. Look, he knows defense but there is nothing unique or tough to replace with the scheme he implemented here. In fact its kind of shitty he got to sit on his fatass while others busted theirs to bring in the necessary talent to effectively run his D while got all of the credit.

100% Agree

I'm guessing your source is bullshite since you have fallen silent and zero of your "insider info" has checked out

Or maybe the situation changed. You don't have to believe but dont come on here bashing people because you don't. That's why it's hard to hear anything around here nowadays because people share information and sometimes things change or don't work out and everyone wants to blast them for it. All they can tell us is what they've heard and they can't control how things turn out. Don't like it then don't read it.

Or maybe he was full of shite. It's hard to hear much nowadays because everyone wants to play insider when no one knows shite.
Butt hurt much?

These "insiders" are usually pretty easy to spot. JMO

why is it so hard to believe that someone who went to LSU and is in the TAF or simply lives in Baton Rouge might know someone who works at LSU or is in the TAF? we're not talking about North Korea, we're talking about that place over on Stadium Drive.
I have no idea if they truly are or not, but mytigger, LSUNV, 756, and a few others at least sound legit. its usually not hard to detect the people simply making shite up.

Miles isn't exactly blabbing about this to anyone who will listen.

My source, like many others just isn't getting any scoop right now. Things are tight lipped. As far as my info not checking out, you're wrong.
But honestly, most of us are back to work this week doing more productive things with our time.
This whole deal is like going to the doctor multiple times trying to figure out what sex your baby is going to be before it's delivered - eventually we'll all find out when it's time.
Patience, grasshopper.

I've come to the realization that no-one, outside of Miles and his Agent, have the slightest hint as to who is going to be hired. They are keeping things extremely close to the chest.
