Several years ago Ben Coleman put up a post asking for prayers for his niece (his brothers daughter)that was rushed to the hospital here in Phoenix (Mesa, AZ). His brother was visiting his daughter from Houston.
It was Christmas day and since we live here my wife and I paid them a visit. Turns out Ben Coleman and his brother grew up with, knew, and worked for my wife's grandfather! My wife's grandfather had sent us some pecans from his farm for Christmas that year. Ben's brother got to eat some of them! Ben Coleman was most appreciative of our visit.
Interesting how things can come around like that.
Ben Coleman, you and Chrissy are in our prayers, sir!

God speed Ben Coleman! I haven't posted much directed to you specifically but seeing the crowd gathered here and knowing that countless others are praying for you and your family gives me hope for humanity. I pray that your pain is lessened by the love that has been shown to you and know that God's Heavenly Kingdom awaits! Love, and God's Grace to you and your family!

You and I had our differences as well Ben, but in the end we're both passionate about LSU sports and that's where we found common ground.

God Bless Benjamin

God speed, Ben.

Dang! have debated with BenColeman many a times on this board on the state of the program. At no time did he mention the condition he was in. Wow the thought of him possibly being unable to even see the tigers on the field again kinda makes those arguments seem dumb. Good luck Ben Coleman and Family . We will always be tigers in this life and the next

Ben fought the good fight for 2019 knowing full well he may not even make it to the season.

Ben, we will think about you every week

Ben,

I know you have put me on blast many a time, but it was in fun.
God bless you man. I’ll do the very best I can to keep a positive outlook this year.

Many prayers for you and your family.

Sad, sad news. Please tell him he’ll always be a part of tRant and we’ll miss him.

Just to bring him a smile, if he’s still able, can you ask him for a prediction of the 18-19 season?

(I hope the ‘prediction’ request isn’t seen as inappropriate. I’d love it if tRant could use it as a talking point and as something we can remember him by during the season so that he maintains a presence on the board—I really hope that he’d like that idea, though I don’t know whether he’s too advanced to be able to have a trivial conversation about one of his great passions, LSU Football)
