And his defense is currently giving up 166 yards per game on the ground. We might want to send him some lube as a severance package for the damage Fournette will do.

Another bad call by Les.

How so?

It worked out best for everyone that Chavis left.

You may very well be right and I am certainly thinking that we improved greatly in the end, however, I hope Chavis and A&M fail miserably!!

Why didn't Miles just tell him to GTFO when he knew he wasnt returning? He clearly did not give a frick about coaching the game.

Be a fricking man Chavis and either resign when you knew you were leaving or coach the fricking game like you care and fly back to BR with the team. Pathetic the way he handled it.

I am guessing Miles may have thought there was still a chance to convince Chavis to stay and, in any event, trusted him to be a man about it and actually continue to coach the team through the bowl game, with 100% dedication to the job, especially given their history. Chavis clearly didn't do that and that is why I have no love for him now. If he wanted to leave, then leave and don't let the door hit you on the way out. But to abandon his players like he did, very unprofessional and totally unforgivable. Chavis is now TIGER BAIT!!

Will someone please state wtf the miles clause is. Thanks.

From what I understand the Miles termination clause said that if at any point during his contract if CLM is fired and the New staff doesn't want him LSU owes him $0.00
His contract at A&M is guaranteed

I got no clue how the Steel/Ogeron guys will work out long term, and for all his faults, John Chavis was a pretty damn good DC.

THAT BEING SAID, this past weekend - the first Chavisless one in a while - I saw an LSU defense blitz. I saw a QB who pretty well single handedley beat LSU look basically pedestrian, save one drive. And if I NEVER see Alabama team beat us again because the defense decides it shouldn't play the final 2 or 3 minutes of a game with the same set, formation, mindset, philosophy, attitude, cushion, or theory that shut Alabama down for the first 57 minutes, I'd be pretty thrilled.

Talk about dereliction of duty. And the fat POS got paid very well for it. I couldn't bring myself to lay down on the job like he did and draw a check.

There was no 3rd and Chavis last week. Held the home Sec team to 6 points through 3 quarters. Steele and orgeron have us in better hands

Chavis realized he could not improve LSU defense anymore with his schemes even with the best talent. He was looking for a really bad defense (like A&M) so he can get credit for the easy improvement.

I guess we didn't watch the same game. Dak had a 65% completion percentage and passed for 335 yards. Now we did stop the inside run, but the jury is still out on Steele. The one thing we have going for us is that right now is that Dak is the best QB our defense will face outside of the playoffs

I think so too and if last Saturday is any indication, I can't wait for more of the same!

He was ok.. He didn't recruit at all really. He must have been zoned in on one good meal the days he evaluated Kenny young and went with Garrett as his future at mike. He was an above avg DC when other coaches brought in good Defensive talent. ppl may laugh but I think Steele will be better as a DC. He is an exceptional recruiter.. He wasn't horrible at Clemson and PPl who mention Baylor probably needs a bib when they eat.. Apples n oranges from 2 decades ago and many years of experience under some great defensive minds. oh and he's got an ace n da hole. He goes by the name EdO!!!

Shame on Miles for letting him coach the game.

Hindsight being 20/20, it is a shame that Miles let him coach in the bowl game. However, Miles probably thought that Chavis would give his best effort during the game.

Chavis on the other hand is a sorry son of a bitch for the way he coached (or didn't coach) the bowl game, and left the program like a little bitch. And the dumbass law suit that he filed after he left just proves what a shite-eating cocksucker he truly is.
