IDK if already posted, but at this point, shouldn't the AD consider doubling the size of the GA Student section and go back to the $5/game season ticket plan with available $15 date tickets? When I was at LSU in the glorious Curley years, the noise was coming from the student section. That's where your energy is these days. And yes, they stopped playing Tiger Rag because of the Ahahahaha...assholes,assholes! chant back then too, so the vulgarity has ticked up a bit, but that's your resource. The revenue from ticket sales has to be peanuts compared to the negative effects of yawning at Tiger Stadium.

you sound dumb. LSU could play any SEC foe in an empty stadium and ESPN would still pick it up

I'm gonna say it again:

quote:

"It doesn't feel electrifying. I guess people are waiting on the Texas A&M game"

Funny, that's almost exactly how I feel about Anthony Johnson's play this year!

Freak should worry about making his play electrifying rather than the disappearing act he seems to prefer.

You're pitiful too. Maybe you should seek a job that pays more if you really worry about $3,000

I'm now starting to see why the stadium isn't full if there are this many crappy fans just on this board

Guy has not played up to GD FAN expectation, so he is dismissed in light of the blood, sweat, and tears he puts in day in and day out?!?!?! He loves his team and chose LSU over any college in the US and, for this, he is now chastised?!?!?!

You guys make me fricking sick.

It's nice to see Les Miles chime in as well. While he is attempting to handle the topic gently, it is pretty clear he would like to see behavioral changes in the fans when it comes to attendance and positive vocal support for the team.

Much our fanbase are hyprocrites.

Amazing the amount of criticism directed at the coaches and players and yet any valid criticism of the "fans" is met with venom, vitriol, excuses or flat out denial.

What a joke.

Honestly this stuff and piped in crowd noises at pro games wears you down as a fan. Sad to hear that they started doing this in DV. Back in the day at the baseball games it made sense, but for a college football game it just isn't right.

at the number of fans posting about how pitiful the crowd looked on TV. What a bunch of hypocrites. Comfortable, with no sunburn, and many dollars richer, but still calling out the people that did go out there and deal with the heat, insufficient staffing at entry and concession stands and a slugfest, that while being an excellent win, didn't have a ton of highlight reel plays that usually cause a roar.

You funny.

Affording it is NOT the problem. That's a lot of money to fork over when you know what the likely outcome will be.

CFB is entertainment. That's it. LSU has gotten tens of thousands from me over the years. I have other items to prioritize $3000+ for now.

Oh, I'm still there. And I stay until the end. Especially when you pay that much. I'm just not attending all 7-8 games any more.

Don't plan on buying the tix at all next year either. I'll let someone else pay the TAF fees.

I wonder what they'll think when we struggle to get 70K in the stadium for homecoming.

I know of 7-10 other tickets not being renewed as well. These have been held for 15-17 years.

It seems; The aggravation to attend + TAF fees+ only a few good games a year has exceeded the enjoyment factor of being "in the stadium". The TV is a superior, more convenient delivery mechanism for many now.

They shouldn't win as much.

Sadly, winning has created a spoiled fanbase. The fans expect to win so don't get as fired up about the game. Maybe it's just human nature?

LSU fans just aren't interested in going to the games anymore when theres HDTV big screens and AC available
Maybe a TV blackout in the region would do it.

Holy shite some of the posts in here are some of the most whiny, wussy, and flat out pathetic I have ever read.

There obviously needs to be some trimming of the fat when it comes to the LSU fan base.

Its too hot, its too cold, too much traffic, too much noise, don't like the music, no good wi-fi, I'll do what I want, blah, blah, blah.

Weak and sad.

Yeah...CBS 2:30 games suck...2008 Bama, 2010 Bama, 2010 Ole Miss, 2011 Arkansas, 2008 Georgia, 2010 Tennessee, etc, etc.

The crowd was electric in those...obviously some were bigger games than others...but still.

True. But to be honest, I was even bored at home. Between the time consuming game plan and the fact that ANY time there would be some sort of momentum or a big play, it'd be at a point where CBS takes one of their 100 5 minute commercial breaks. So that kills the pace of the game as well.

I'm not saying that the fans suck or are worse than ever, but with this Florid game....it was just boring as shite and a lot of variables made it that way.

Very well stated.

CBS games are horrible. Last one I attended in DV was the Georgia game where JLee threw a couple pick sixes.

Sat on the East sideline and stayed the whole game. Nearly 4 hours of sitting in that one spot for 60 minutes of football.

I'd like some football with my commercial breaks.

JFF will keep more Tigers in the stand. This game should be like bama vs ATM... very exciting!
