Seems JJ's attorney is planning to approach Les about lifting JJ's suspension while he fights this charge.

I know this was up earlier and axed, but it now has a link from ESPN below.

If he allows JJ to play against Oregon then "suspend" him for Northwestern, I will lose all respect for Miles.

I'd keep JJ suspended until all the court stuff is over with.

Some are saying it may be late next year before this gets settled in court.

This situation would blow up and spiral out of control if he was reinstated Friday night....now THAT would be some crazy stuff. But Les is football savvy...for the most part. He wouldnt do something that could be so disrupting this close to game time...i hope.

So would I, but that is just me. I think it's a legal maneuver. If Les lifts the suspension (which I am not sure LSU will let him do), then he'll easily fight the charge.

If Les refuses to lift it or LSU makes him keep it imposed, JJ pleas down. Still pathetic in my opinion to be making this request 3 days after being charged.

he has been arrested for these supposed crimes.

He may not be quilty, but miles must keep him suspended until this all plays out. Did not houston nutt just suspend his QB for getting arrested.

If miles reinstates JJ without the charges being dropped, then I will be the first one to comment on the fire miles thread!

Unless he told the team that he would do this the entire time...Would be a huge mindfrick to Oregon's preparation.

I disagree. Miles should look at the circumstances as they are and suspend JJ for a reasonable amount of games as if he were guilty. Keeping him out of the whole season is ridiculous. I don't know the circumstances of the reported crime but unless JJ intended to kill the guy, a whole season is just way too long.

I agree. I think given the severity of the charges, a 4 game suspension would be adequate with 3 games if it is plead down to a misdemeanor charge.

It honestly pisses me off that JJ and his lawyer are even talking about this now, because it shows he's not a leader in my opinion. Why do you bring this up now as another distraction for your team with them going into a huge game. That I will never understand. A true leader would think of his team in that regard.

It is a very shitty situation but the amount of heat Miles will get if it is found out JJ is guilty would severely damper his legacy. Use JJ's redshirt here and hope for the best is all I could say right now.

I don't think so. Miles acted immediate and can suspend JJ for 3-4 games and reinstate him whether he is found guilty or not. he will not take much heat if any over those actions.

If the final punishment doesn't warrant a season long suspension, I don't see any need to hold JJ out for the entire season.

Then again. If Miles learns something that is 100% that everything will work out for JJ. He needs to reinstate him ( Or Try to, depending on how the University handles things) . This could mess up JJ's whole future . Before you laugh and talk about how he couldn't make it in the NFL anyway or get drafted in the first place. You have to realize. There have been longer shots get drafted. You never know. This could of been his break out season. Regardless of "what if's" no matter the situation. This could make or break his future.

How dare I think that this shite might be a distraction for the team. What I think of it personally is irrelevant, but if you don't think this is a distraction to the team, then you're really dense or give more of a shite about JJ than LSU. The timing is what is the problem and why is this being publicized? He can talk to Les without putting this in the media.

Just posturing from the attorney. He knows there's no way Les is going to lift it, so he's making it public to try and sway emotion one way or the other.

The frick? We want what's best for the team and pulling this shite right now is clearly not that.
