People would watch a game like that and then come here and defend Les. 2010 was so frustrating to watch. That team could have been 12-0 or 7-5. Should have played in a Sugar Bowl. Lack of discipline hurt us vs Arky later in year.

at minimum that team should been a BCS team.

A week after the Tennessee debacle.

Maybe the quintessential Les Miles game. LSU outplayed Florida for most of the game, yet blew opportunities to put the game out of reach. That allows Florida to eventually take the lead…leading to a chaotic final drive where the difference between victory and defeat rested on a razor’s edge. A predictable 3rd and 1 call leading to 4th down with only 30 seconds remaining. A gutsy fake FG call. Poor execution. An unbelievably lucky break with the bounce. Concluded with a great play in the final seconds.

Todd Blackledge’s visceral response to the TD with 7 seconds left was the same we all had for many years when Les pulled off lucky last second win. A stunned “Oh my God”

IIRC, Toliver couldn't haul in the catch on the previous play, and we ran the exact same play for the win.

Toliver also dropped a perfectly thrown pass earlier in the game, which was followed by a missed FG.

My favorite play of that game, though, was the pass to Toliver on 4th and 1.

OP is correct. Fun game to watch.

One of the most fun games to watch, though, is LSU-MSU 2000. Back then, MooU had a pretty nasty defense. LSU had Booty at QB and Josh Reed was just becoming Josh Reed. Back and forth game. Nerve wracking as all hell.

Florida fans are not good winners or losers. They're actually alright to talk to on any day other than gameday.

entire 2010 season was wild

And nerve-plucking, as well. I was irate after the very first game when LSU, on the verge of blowing out N.Carolina in the 3rd quarter, went into a shell offensively, escorting the Heels back into game. And that game ended mercifully for LSU when the referee didn't throw a flag for PI in the endzone following a quite apparent penalty on LSU

7-5 was more likely. LSU should have lost to North Carolina and Tennessee, and were miraculously given a reprieve by the officials in both cases. Florida was a legitimate, though really lucky win for The Tigers.

The two LSU losses that year, on the road vs a good Auburn team and a not-so-good Arkansas team were both really worse losses than the final score indicated. So 10-2 was really the best possible outcome for this team, and somehow they achieved it, a really infuriating fashion.

No sir. That last game ugly loss @ Arkansas made any BCS goal irreachable.

The 2012 team was more BCS worthy than 2010

i was there

the swamp was rocking that night - and the fans were particularly nasty. it used to be a truly intimidating venue, before uf decided to hire a series of retards & their academics got so good that regular florida baws couldn’t get into the school.

Very entertaining game and on the same day bama lost at South Carolina

It was equally frustrating because we should’ve put them away so much earlier. Typical Miles team.

I’ve been going on a binge watching highlights on YouTube from games around that year. I couldn’t stomach watching 2011 regular season highlights for years after 21-0.

There are so many one or two man routes, do those even exist anymore?

LSU drive down the field and lined up for a field goal to tie the game with about 30 seconds left, but went for a fake where Josh Jasper picked up a lateral on the bounce and carried it for an apparent 1st down. The review to determine if the lateral was a forward pass or not was inconclusive, and the Tigers had the first down to keep the drive alive.

Urine was an idiot for selling out for the block. I was there and everyone around us in the stands - and mind you we were drunken idiot fans....myself included, said Les was going to do the over the shoulder fake FG.

Was the Tennessee debacle the week before

Was that when Tennessee won but there were like too many men on the field and LSU ended up winning and it wasn’t even televised?

I was at that game. What a shite show.

Underrated classic - 2010 LSU at UF

The only reason that game is a Classic is because Miles was the Coach.
