Kiffin brought in big play WR’s with high yards per catch rates. So his intent is to create big plays in the passing game to go along with a sound running game. Works for me. They can all run really well.

I’ll start with the fact that Lane Kiffin hasn’t had a single QB throw 30 TD in a season since he got to Ole Miss. So yes, I think expecting Leavitt to throw for 45 TD is kind of ridiculous.

Nuss’s best year was 29 TD
Trinidad had 22 TD last year
Fernando had 40
Jayden had 40 in his heisman year
Over would be quite a feat, especially because I hope we have a significantly improved rushing attack that leads to a lot of TD’s on the ground.

I have to admit, I thought we were getting a great passer in Leavitt. However, after watching the game film against MSU and TX, I am really concerned. He can run the ball, but his passing prowess is going to have to improve about 100% for LSU to make a run with him at QB. I sure hope Lane can make him better real fast.

Over 40. He has lane in his helmet before each play. Ole Miss qb didn't do that on his own.

Realistically I say under, but who the hell knows. If someone would've told me before the 2019 season that JB was going to throw 60 touchdowns I would've called them nuts. I'm just excited to see what SL and the rest of our QB room can do under Lane/Weis. We have some very talented and capable QB's.

And yes, WR is easily the most unknown position on the team. They may be good, but people claiming the unit is great, having only watched YouTube highlights of the transfers, is asinine.
Trey’Dez is a TE. If you want to claim him in your argument that’s fine, and I’ll agree with you, he’s a massive weapon. But I’m talking WR room is purely speculation.

It is an argument. He’s a TE and we are talking about WRs. Doesn’t matter where he lines up, he’s a tight end

Under. The potential is there for more but expectations for him seem to be high. Has not had time to get in enough work with receivers.

Whats crazy is that this has only happened twice in LSU history. And we have 3 running backs and a QB capable of running the ball effectively as well. I lean toward in a 12 game regular season a stat line close to:
3200 yds 27-29 TDs and rushing for 450 yds and 5 tds.
I think our running game is going to lead to a lot more scores than people realize especially with a rotation of 3 running backs.

Coming off Lisfranc surgery, not sure I would be optimistic early in the season.
If he is confident in his movements, I may be more bullish. Wait and see is my thought. Live football is more than just getting back to full movement.

How doesn’t it matter when where he lines up dictates how many WRs are on the field ? lol
