I feel like everyone has forgotten Michael Brockers; second team all SEC and went on to an 11 year lucrative nfl career

I agree he was very underrated. Did he ever make it to the NFL? I don’t remember hearing him do anything?

Ron Brooks was super under appreciated. Made plays from his freshman year on.

If it weren't for a few serious injuries, he would've had a great pro career.

He was awesome. That knee injury really killed him. He was due for an all sec all america season before that injury.

Don’t sleep on Kelvin Sheppard and Kevin Minter.

Came here to post this. He was a general on defense and willed his way into the nfl as a 3 star. I’ll never forget the 2010 Bama game. He gave a very intense and emotional speech before the game. The sideline reporter talked about it.

I love all lsu teams. But those teams fought and gave their souls for lsu and their teammates. And he was at the center.

No one has mentioned Perry Riley yet.

He had a great NFL career.

A very good list by Tiger Lifer 18. About two of those players, both DL.

Bennie Logan was not a highly rated recruit, but a very solid defensive lineman who was definitely under appreciated. Good vs. the pass or the run.

Another DL listed was Christian Lacatoure. In at least one of his seasons, the depth on the defensive line was very thin. He played a larger number of snaps in almost every game of that season--much larger than most coaches would usually have defensive linemen do. Then he continued with the program after his playing days was over, gaining some valuable experience as a coach. He is one of the few LSU recruits from the state of Nebraska, though he first played high school football in Texas.
