Dillon Gordon the former tight end was a hulk standing at 6’4 308lb. He was pretty much used as an extra tackle in running situations but flashed some great athleticism in moments. His senior season was cut short by a foot injury sadly. Well, Gordon continued to grow and is actually a backup Guard/Tackle for the Kansas City Chiefs. He’s listed at 6’4 322lbs. Glad it all worked out for you Dillon. The spotlight was never on you but you worked your arse off for the Purple & Gold!

(He’s currently on Injured Reserve)

Feel free to add in guys!

Never felt like he was fully appreciated during his time at LSU. He is still in the league and playing for the Lions.

Remember when we took him and Perry Riley out of Stone Mountain.

And sure enough both made the NFL.

Gordon being out his senior season really hurt our rushing attack. He was dominant in the running game. Not an exaggeration to say we would’ve won a couple of more games with him playing.

Drake Nevis. It looks like he’s playing in Canada now.

Hewas not under appreciated at the time he was a player, but I find that his name is often not mentioned with the DT's that came after him:

Lavalais had as dominant of a senior year as any LSU D-lineman ever. He was phenomenal in the 2003 NC run. Lavalais and Glenn Dorsey had extremely similar numbers.

Michael Brockers. He was a first round pick, but really only played one season for LSU.

The DBs got all the love on that 2011 defense, but Brockers was the anchor of that defense. Him and Bennie Logan made everything click.

Charles Scott. Great back at LSU but has been sort of forgotten because of all the great ones that followed him.

Demetrius Byrd. One of many weapons we had during the 2007 season. Made one of the best plays that year with a game winning TD against Auburn with seconds left on the clock.
