It sucks but UNC made the defensive plays and we didn’t. We hit better than they did, but letting two runs score on not running under a line drive in center and missing a fly ball in right is the difference. Pitching stepped up huge, bats were not good, and defense let us down. Had fun, see y’all next year!

We had every opportunity to win that, and probably should have, but just didn't make the pitches or plays when we had to.

i wish we had left ack in, but i understand the mindset of going to your best to close it out. we'll never know how it would have ended.
some could say that is hindsight, but i always prefer leaving in a guy who is doing well as long as possible.
i think he managed hellmers perfectly.
