The irony in this entire thread is that the only people upset about the name, the ranking or the fact that the loss didn’t look like an upset, seems to be LSU fans. The simple fact that the debate shifts to Flagship and whataboitism by Tiger fans truly shows the level of insecurity that exists in Baton Rouge.

Remember A&M last year? Same thing happened to them. #1 to out the rankings. They went 30-26 overall and 11-19 in the SEC. Postseason SEC tournament and done.

Yet, their school was called the University of Southwestern Louisiana for ages. And Lafayette isn't even really SWLA. But nobody wants to be the University of South Central Louisiana...too similar to SCLSU.
