Now, I know some of you guys have no problem with that; but let me wear an Alabama shirt on LSU's campus during a regular class day and see how people there react.
Seen it many times. I see shirts and sweatshirts from hundreds of different schools while walking around campus.

I used to wear Florida stuff on campus all the time because I got it free and my family is there. People don't give a crap what you wear on campus. Its ULL...they want to be a big fish so bad....its ridiculous.

If someone wore a UL shirt on campus, no one would care. When LSU isn't playing UL most of us pull for them. We want to see another LA team do well.
UL on the other hand, has a bad case of penis envy. They hope LSU loses every week bc they secretly want to be just like LSU.

Do you honestly pull for them or do you even care? I pull for LSU, but I personally don't go ranting when they lose......if you know what I mean.

A lot of it has to do with people at UL(L) acting on what they wear. For example, you wearing the Florida shirt. Do you go to Gainesville that weekend to the Florida game if LSU is playing at home? Do you pull for Florida when they play LSU?
Most of the UL(L) students who wear LSU clothes show their personal allegiance to LSU, not understanding that LSU isn't the school giving them a college degree.

Honestly, I've seen this done before, and no one gives a rat's arse.

Let someone from the flagship of North Louisiana weigh in on this... I will say that there's obviously a big share of scary, jerk fans at LSU, but even us friendly folks from the Piney Hills have our own share of drunken maniacs at our games. It's obvious this girl that wrote into the Reveille had a bad experience, and that's a shame. Obviously not everyone goes through this, but it probably would be better to just try and be as hospitable as you can toward visiting fans. It doesn't make her a bitch just for complaining.
It bothered me to see people on Tech's campus wearing LSU or Texas t-shirts, but I've seen students at LSU also wearing crap from places like Alabama, so no one's immune to it. You wouldn't get any real attention for that in Ruston unless it was gameday, in which case the heckling will be heavy for someone in LSU clothes.
The main fact here is that Louisiana has been dead-set on having only one main football program with a bunch of "little cousins" throughout history. This state has FAR too much high school talent to go around, and I think too many recruits are going out of state that don't play for LSU. The state government has given the other D-1A schools a raw deal over time, but complaining now is like bitching about slavery back in the 1800s and not doing anything about it, in my opinion. We at Tech at least are finally starting to build up our money and program and view ourselves as future rivals of LSU. That doesn't mean we have penis envy, and we know LSU's got the top team in the state right now. I can't speak for ULL people, but I figure that with competition sometimes comes bitter feelings. For example, Auburn and Bama hate each other, and Miss St and Ole Miss don't get along as fans.
I guess what I'm saying is that, as another Louisiana team tries to emerge as a competitor over time, LSU fans can't be surprised to see fans of the other LA team show a little animosity. I personally look forward to having a true rivalry with the Tigers, because it could be a hell of a tailgating weekend here for us all. We're tired of our main rivals being Hawaii and Fresno State, way the hell out west. My team has only played LSU twice since World War II, and those were VERY bad years for us and LSU's national title years, so there's not much history. It's lame that we're two D-1A in-state schools with pretty much no history between each other.
Okay, maybe I should go to sleep. I just totally digressed into random bullcrap... haha, anyway, just leave the ULL chick alone and don't be totally surprised that fans of other Louisiana teams don't necessarily like LSU. It ain't envy.

I used to wear Notre Damn stuff all the time (when my sister was going there), even had a ND sticker right under the LSU one on my car...no one ever said shite to me. Had friends from all over the country wear shirts from their hometown/state colleges, they never got bothered. Moreover, it never bothered me to see other Uni's represented on campus...because I was secure enough in LSU's coolness not to give a frick.

I wore A&M stuff on the LSU campus and LSU stuff on the A&M campus. No one ever gave a shite.

Fair enough Tech fan, at least you guys aren't changing your name to make a lame attempt to make people outside the state get confused and think you are LSU. They wanted to be called "Louisiana" sort of like "Florida". That is about the lamest thing I've ever heard of. If you want to build a powerhouse...then build one, it doesn't just happen because you change your name. LAME!

Teton Tiger posted on pg 9 that she was a relative of his. It was not a 2 year old child but two LSU grads with their parents that insulted her & made her cry.

all your dumbass fans on latechbbb.com disagree. some of the most envious, little jealous people ive ever heard from. its embarassing the amount of envy all the little schools diehards have for us.(yes they each only have 1000k of these fans but still....)

I hope the silly little peppers get a chance to go to the real swamp or to BAMA. If they think LSU is bad, they have another thing coming. ULL fans don't know what its like to be a part of big time college football. I loved the Tigerbait with aarow pointing downward, that allowed me a chance to ask if that is supposed to mean penis envy.
Most of them hate LSU because they couldn't get in so they had to settle for the University of Lower Learning.

"am4titansandlsu", I really don't care what you think about the LaTechBB&B. I seem to recall your username on our board just being a flamer. What we have isn't envy. We just wanna win, period. You're the type of fan that just bandwagons on with the team that's the flavor-of-the-week and then acts superior. We've got our own traditions and don't ever want to be LSU, with all due respect to the folks here. We've got our own brand at Tech, and our goal is to one day be #1 in the state. I'm not a hater, but I don't cheer for anyone else in Louisiana because it's called competition. If you want to talk about envy, speak with the UL-X and Tulane people.
