Ok so are you saying that LSUA, and LSUS should get as much funding as LATech, SELA, and Louisiana, UNO etc.

Do they?

LSUS should receive a nice cut. They have a med school that serves the northern 2/3rds of the state.

I didn't say anything like that so you should stop making assumptions like that.

All I did was point out the information that you had wrong.

Yes I do see the problem....the problem is that there are 9 4 year universities in the UL system when there should probably only be 2-3.

All the bloviating from ULL fans in this thread has proven their issue should not be with LSU, but it should be with their own system. They claim that the UL System "leveled the field" with LSU, but it seems like they are being screwed out of funding because their own system is bloated with too many programs.

They should concentrate their ire at the UL System, not LSU. Pointing out the status/funding of LSU-S, LSU-E, and LSU-A is pointless and irrelevant to their issue. Although I do agree, there are many places the LSU System could trim fat, too.

and Louisiana

While this thread started as an athletics thread, which is where you can bitch and moan about what you are called because the law didn't specify, it has morphed into an academics thread.

On this subject you are not simply "Louisiana," you are "Louisiana at Lafayette" or "Louisiana at Monroe."

Stop breaking the law.

A person can attend a ULL home football game for $6.00. My son's high school charges $7.00

..i was offered FREE seats right behind the ULL bench for basketball and didnt want them...they may have averaged 2000 fans at just about every game and im being lienent...USL, ULL,University of Louisiana cant even figure out what to even call themselves...ive had 2 daughters graduate from there but i could care less about that school in any sport...

The whole point of this discussion is that the system is design so that LSU is protected!! The system is designed to protect LSU

The Name Change, Funding, Not allowing student Fees for athletics, To many Universities, Not allowing Med or Law school in any other University etc.

All contributes to keeping other 4-year University down, while propping up LSU!! Y’all can’t even compete with other State Flagship Institutions!

Is the med school not tied to LSUS? I honestly don’t know, I just assumed that it was.

Nope LSU has 2 med schools the one in New Orleans, and Shreveport !

LaTech tried a couple years back to take it over, because they were going to close, but of course LSU had to be over it, and LaTech would of had to switch to the LSU-System

They didn’t go for it, and LSU just decided to keep it open.

Well, it is the flagship. And Louisiana kinda needs that right now.

We don't need any more law schools in this state. We really don't need Southerns.

Yes because we have too many. You want more money? Help us knock other 4 year universities down to two. Yall are too blind to see it is other schools who are hurting you, not big bro.

We already disproved that but whatever

There is no other Flagship institution.

There’s LSU. Deal with it.

Ok I mean y’all can’t compete with other Flagship Institutions like Bama, Texas etc. even getting 2/3 of the funding allocated for universities within the state
