uh nope.

Unless you include the official LSU website as "this board"....

Uhhh no...

From the Commisioner's Regulations:

[SEC Bylaw 30.22.1.3]

quote:

The team in each division with the highest percentage of wins during all regular season Conference competition will be declared division champion.

quote:

The sites, dates, and rotation
of the eight-game schedule shall be set by administrative action of the Conference. Any conflicts that result
in this schedule that cannot be resolved by the institutions involved will be submitted to the SEC Presidents
and Chancellors for final resolution.

As you can see, there is a review process in case of a cancelled game; so to say it is absolutely disqualifying to miss a conference game due to a natural disaster is patently false.

did you read the SEC statement on the reschedule?

says point blank that all 8 conference games must be played to be eligible for the SEC CG

That is the protocol, but that would be preempted if the University Presidents were to decide to hold a vote on it.

The SEC Commissioner's Regulations requires each football team play all eight Conference games in a season in order to be eligible to compete for a divisional title and play in the SEC Championship Game. Had the game not been rescheduled, Florida and LSU would have been ineligible to compete for the SEC title this season

Let's see how much LSU can run up the score before making any judgments about blackmail...

Last Tuesday Sankey should have moved the fricking game to Sunday. When UF says no, you tell them this game has to be played or you are disqualified from ATL.

It's really that freaking easy.

Remember what happened when the USCe game was moved to BR:

South Carolina vs. LSU - October 10, 2015
On October 12, 2015,
Spurrier announced that he was resigning as South Carolina's head coach immediately!

Is Jim McElwain next?

He screwed up and he knows it.
That's why he's been sucking up to UF since yesterday.

You're quoting a publication that insists that there is such a bylaw but there is no proof that a bylaw even exists. The only proof given is that the SEC says that there is.

Alleva played this well even though we lose the game next season. He turned the table on Foley and Sankey.

LSU had the leverage. UF HAD to play this game to get into the SECCG. The likelihood of UF reaching the SECCG far outweighs LSU's chances. So LSU pulled the leverage card, drew a line in the sand, and KNEW UF would fold.

But according to some fans, LSU got fricked over in the deal.

Whats so hard to understand here? LSU loses a sec home game next year because of UF without gaining any home games this year. Fla loses nothing net since their road trip on the 19th is made up next year.

Blackmail is when you have the goods on someone and make the give you something for its return.

LSU doesn't have anything of Florida's or dirty info on Fla.! LSU isn't forcing Florida to give up anything.

Florida has forced LSU to play less games this year than we were suppose too.

Florida TRIED to blackmail LSU, by trying to make LSU give up a home game that is rightfully ours to play.

Simple, Florida caused the entire situation and should have to forfiet! THAT is the ONLY just outcome for what has happened.

That’s a turn of events that can only be caused by a little something called blackmail."

True it was blackmail but by Fla. The end up getting us tow years in a row and we lose a home game next year . We will only have 6 home games. UForfeit should be made to forfeit because the did not want to play LSU Oct.8 under any circumstances otherwise it would have been played.
