Also, LSU has never won the NCAA Tournament although we have one claimed championship from 1935 before the tournament existed.
Never claimed we won the tourney, but we did win a natty in 1935.

We should’ve just won all of our semifinal games when we made it to the final four

Is it just a matter of our administration actually giving a shite and making a good faith effort to invest money into the program or are there some other factors at play?
The admin would give a shite if the fans gave a shite. No one gives a shite about basketball

Florida and Donavon had one of the best recruiting classes ever with Noah, Green, Horford, and Brewer.
It was a different time back then. 3 of the 4 I mentioned were sons of millionaires. Florida was the flashy new thing. Everyone wanted to be a gator. They caught lighting in a bottle.
LSU will be back. These things always happen in cycles.

You are right. Only men's basketball has been better and some of those 25-30 years, LSU had a better team.
It seems like Florida has been a bit stronger in softball.
Like others have stated, LSU needs to hire a quality head coach, surround him with a few good X's and O's folks and one or two solid recruiters.
The Tigers could start by securing the home state talent and not let players get away to places like Baylor, Houston and even the Mississippi schools sometimes. I would hope the program could look seriously at more international prospects as well and not settle for mediocrity at the point guard position.

Louisiana has never cared about basketball, at any level period… We’re a Football and baseball state… Remember that

relax man....
Tenn has never made the final 4 I don't think. Alabama has made a final 4 once in their history, never a championship game. Auburn has never made a championship game. KY hasn't made a championship game in many years. This would make 3 NC's in the last 20 years for Florida. Who else in the country has done that?

UConn has 4 during that stretch and 6 over the last 27 years starting in 1999.
North Carolina has 3 since 2005.
Duke has 3 since 2001.
Kentucky has 3 since 1996.
Kansas has 2 since 2008.
Villanova has 2 since 2016.

My mind is still blown that their coach is seemingly going to get away with not many consequences at all for things unequivocally worse than anything WW did.
