Can someone explain to me why it's bad for LSU to be in rain delay but good for UCLA? Explain it like I'm a girl please.

Simply because LSU’s starter had settled in and usually gets better as the game goes on. Because of the delay, Eyanson is done for the day.

LSU’s bullpen going to have to show up.

Because LSU just lost an ace on the mound. It hurts our bullpen moving forward possibly too. Depends on what is needed for this game. Regardless, LSU was coasting with a lead and they had an ace on the mound that was just blown because of weather. Anyone who thinks Eyanson isn't an ace doesn't watch this baseball team. You have 1a and 1b with Anderson/Eyanson. LSU's bullpen CAN be dominant but they're inconsistent. You know what you had on the mound with Eyanson. Big loss.

Ok, I’m a girl. I have the equipment to answer this.

It’s fine for UCLA bc o the way they rotate their arms through a game. They don’t just put their best dude out there then bring in a reliever or closer at the end. They might throw 4-5 different pitchers in a single game so a delay doesn’t affect their strategy.

For LSU, it sucks bc we have That Dude in Eyanson and we want him out there knocking them down for 7 innings or so before we being in Evens and/or Shores. It changes our strategy and we lose the advantage of our really good pitcher.

I have stupid high arches but I’m barefoot whenever possible all summer. Hell, I move to my slides before I walk off the court after a match.

Maybe not, but the league lost me 5+ years ago so I don’t care.

Our starter is one of the best pitchers in the country and has to stop pitching after 3 innings. They don’t have as strong of starters but have a deep bullpen. They were gonna switch pitchers a bunch anyway. We were gonna lean on our starter for 7 innings and then piece together the last few with our best relievers. Their strategy is still at play. Ours is busted and now we have to lean on relievers more than we intended.

Just wasted our ace freaking weather

LOL, it’s not all bad. Only threw 44 pitches. He can come back on short rest. Also, we will score more runs against UCLA. Their pitching isn’t that good.

so even if it's just an hour long rain delay, Eyenson can't come back in this game?

Sec rule was 10 pm to start and midnight to resume play, right?

Has anyone announced the rule for Omaha?

Pretty much yes. It’s stressful on an arm to warm up, get cold, and get warm again in the same day.
