Biggest question of the night, “Which overhyped shortstop becomes a factor tonight?”

I’m with you grrl. Would love a collapse from Arky. Would rather play small ball, rag armed UCLA again. Than try to beat Arky for the 4th out of 5th time.

Would love UCLA to win. Also UCLA eat up more if the bullpen. They use bullpen again tonight and Tomorrow they wouldn't have much left.

UCLA +270
100 / (270 + 100) = 100 / 370 = 27% implied odds. Even that seems higher than what there chances really are

UCLA will start RHP Cody Delvecchio tonight. The junior was the Friday starter when the year began, but has not pitched since March 28. The Los Angeles Times reported he became academically eligible in time for the CWS.
It actually makes sense. UCLA is on the quarter system.
Their winter quarter ended March 21. The spring quarter ended last Friday.
Sounds like he didn't do well enough in the winter, sat in the spring and got eligible, and is now good to go.
He literally might have just been declared eligible today.

I think UCLA gets run out the park, but I hope they at least make ark use some pitchers.

My only question would be why the hell didn’t they pitch him yesterday or today
Waiting until they faced elimination I guess

Based on my post above about the UCLA academic calendar, he might have just become eligible today. Their quarter just ended Friday
When he was declared ineligible in March, it took a full week after the end of the quarter.
Quarter ended 3/21, he pitched as late as 3/28
