there are. This one is very much so; but complaints about the "name being gay" are ridiculous and show a lack of knowledge.

Speaking of a lack of knowledge, can you show me where I said the nickname was gay? I'm pretty sure you can't.

Sure didn't stop you from talking about my "lack of knowledge" though, did it, Brosephine?

When I think T-Rex and Purple, I see this...

...hardly awe inspiring.

The Honey Badger and Little Ball of Hate names are so gay. Just because he looks like a honey badger and may be "small" doesn't mean it makes a good nickname. They're awfully cheesy and seem very docile.
T-REX describes his play. He's a fricking beast.

tally one to the homophobic group, gotcha.

And no, in reference to pure similarities in temperment and actions.. he's closer to a honey badger than an extinct lizard.

If you actually knew anything about the animal in question you'd realize this.

I would say I'm kinda surprised that so many people don't get that such a bad arse animal having such an innocuous name is part of the humor, but it is the Rant, so I'm really not.

Just FYI...Bear Grylls would choke the shite out of your honey badger and eat his little badazz raw...hair and all.

Why don't we call Tryann "Bear"??

the HB nickname is just too sophisticated for the average poster to this forum. This is evident in the lame "arguments" against it.

I think the nickname is genius, too.

Yeah I am his friend on facebook (along with everyone else) dude posts a new status like every 2 seconds, had to block him. shite was getting annoying.

If you read what he (honey badger/pterodactyl) has to say, it makes it hard to like him. Social media has to make coaches cringe.

Seriously who cares what his nickname is, or what he wants to be called?

That's EXACLTY why I will never stop calling him the Honey Badger from now on.

He can do one of three things:

1) Accept it and have an affectionate nick name with a funny story behind it. He'll probably have a few ESPN stories on his nickname during Gameday.

2) Not accept it and still be called the Honey Badger by a lot of people. He can continue to call himself T-Rex trying to instill fear into his opponents cause we all know nicknames are supposed to be "bad-arse" and "fricking awesome". At least that's the way 10 year-olds and hard core gangstas from the street make people fear them.

3) Not give a frick either way and have 5 different nicknames. (Ironically, this is the way a honey badger would feel)

Lot of butthurt from those that thought they 'named' a player.

Its not a valid nickname unless you got the guts to say it to that persons face. Remember when Rome tried to nickname Jim Everett, 'Chrissy'? Didnt work out too well for him, did it?

If he wants his nickname to be a ferocious animal like a T-Rex (which a honey badger is) why not try this one out...

Tyrann the Tiger

That would be awesome!!!

Yeah. That's RubeBobb's rule #1 on nicknames.

no player should nickname themself

TRUE

quote:

so honey badger it is

NOPE:

1) - NIcknames should not be derivative of exhausted cultural memes.

2) - Fans do not nickname players. A player’s nickname is bestowed by HIS TEAMMATES.

ALL others are BOGUS.

Have a nice day.
