Damn man, that makes you smile and cry at the same time. 2011 was an unreal year and then it turned 2012 and the worst fricking year in my sport's memory. Saints and LSU suffer heartbreaking losses. TM was just a beast and then threw it away. I wish him well, but damn I would have loved to see 1 more year of him at LSU. No doubt the Tigers would have been back in the NC...

One of the greatest pure football players I have ever seen. I really hope he can stay clean and out of trouble.

He was definitly missed last season. No doubt in my mind if we had him last year, probably an undefeated season... Just saying!

His time was too short bc he he was selfish and uncommitted.

As I've said before I don't hate TM.
I just dont get the absolute admiration/ man crush/obsession some of you have for a player that basically said frick LSU, frick the team, frick les miles I'm gonna do what I want to do.

It blows my minds.. Not to mention the other 10 plus Lsu players in the draft that barely even gets mentioned much less a post started every 10 mins about them.

The most exciting football player in LSU history.

I've been following LSU football since the early eighties and he's arguably the best all around Tiger in that time frame, its certainly a short list of who was better. He wanted your football like no one else I've seen. Before the flunked test and suspension, I really think he had a lot of momentum going into the Heisman voting.

And his ballhawking and intensity always fired up his teammates as well. That was noticeably absent this past season.

Personally I don't get all of the love for this selfish player who doesn't know what the word TEAM means! Imagine what the TEAM could have done if he wasn't so selfish! I for one would never want might son to idolize this selfish drug using media hound!

while i agree with everything your saying, everyone deserves a 2nd chance

think of the games the outcome could have been different without mathieu

this thread is more of a respect of his talents ON the field not the decisions off

we get enough of a reminder of that from the media

everybody got on cover skills with this dude, but forget that he is a 5'8 3/4 corner that only played til his sophmore year. I think he improves on his coverage skills and becomes a complete player in 2-3 years.

Greatness! Even though he broke my heart, he'll go down as one of my favorite Tigers of all time.

i really hope the cards use him much like he was used at lsu. its not like tyrann was doing that stuff against scrubs while he was here. love him or hate him, the dude is a freak of an athlete and does stuff that no one else does. can't wait to see his nfl highlights
