Was in Nashville listening to a Sports station called WNSR. For some reason they were discussing LSU's offense. I don't know who the guest was but he said LSU snuck in an offensive assistant from the NFL named Tyler Tettleton who is 29 years old and said he has the same offensive mind and philosophy as Joe Brady. Said players will love him. Former QB who slung it around. I had never heard his name before. Not sure how I missed it I'm on here everyday.I just read he came from the Browns who are not exactly the Saints. What does TRant think about him?

Most have been saying he’s the next Joe Brady since the hire was made. Don’t think anyone would’ve been upset if we actually made him PGC, instead of Linehan, but O found a way to stockpile coaching talent throughout the entire staff. It’s assumed he will play a similar role to what Munoz was doing last year, helping Burrow a lot in the film room.(Although this season it will be Tettleton-Brennan)

I never imagined Coach O would load up on coaches like this.

Was my favorite hire from this offseason. Wish he were a on field coach that could balance the older coaches in recruiting

He won't be at LSU long if he is like Brady.

I know CEH stated that Faulk helped him with blitz pick ups and some of the nuances of RB roles in the passing game and Burrow credited Munoz with helping him with some of his development.

Whether this was film study with the players or something addressed at practice I don't know. I'm sure analysts take some liberties with the rules.

Sounds like an awesome hire. Wonder if he’ll be in the booth with Linehan and Coach E?

Technically, none; they are supposed to just be able to coach the coaches so to speak and not have any direct communications with players.. But it is a known fact that all of the schools, not just LSU, that have analysts have them coaching players, whether on the field or in the meeting/film rooms.

It will be interesting to see if and how schools modify this a bit moving forward as there was a school just cited for NCAA infractions recently because of having analysts coaching players on the field during games. (Can't remember what school it was) LSU definitely needs to be careful here as there has been plenty of video evidence and statements made regarding analysts directly dealing with players.

I can believe this. If you will remember in 2008 Tom Brady suffered a season-ending injury in the first game of the season after he got hurt on a blitz.

It wasn't a coincidence that Kevin Faulk was not playing in that game due to a one game suspension for testing positive for marijuana.
