I remember the narrative coming out of that game. everyone was crying about our defense back then. Think they were a couple busted coverages? Maybe it was a long run by vandy?
I mean with the benefit of hindsight it’s easy now to laugh that off.
At the time it was a very real concern. Of course, we also had an elite DC who improved the defense as the season went on to the point where the defense was pretty good as a unit down the stretch. I miss that.

Hard to believe anyone on Vandy’s team has the spirit to talk smack to any team.
the only sport Vandy can talk smack is during baseball season...

How about concentrating on the current State of Affairs of the LSU football team instead of that Perfect Storm-Lightning in a Bottle-Planets Aligning fantasy season.
How about you calm the frick down and quit trying to police what people are allowed to remember.
Also, it wasnt a "fantasy" season. It happened.
The audacity of people wanting to discuss LSU sports on an LSU sports board

Stingley had an unbelievable pick that day and the WR from Vandy ripped his helmet off and then Sting ran into the end zone where there were a ton of LSU fans and got the crowd on their feet. It was a fun game to be at.

Joe Burrow is an amazing young man.

People on here were melting over this game like the cI_Ints they are.
Someone said LSU would lose to Auburn, Alabama, and A&M

That's the first "Aranda sucks" game of the season for Pirate King and his loser frickboys because we allowed 38 with 2 TDs being defensive TDs for Vandy

Was there with my two grandsons. Glad to have shared part of that championship season with my boys.

And maybe the hottest damn LSU game I have ever attended. People were passing out from the heat and they ran out of beer before halftime.

Was unseasonably warm that day in Nash

Chase stats: 10 catches for 229 and 4 tds. It was a video game for him.

The pro tip for that day was to walk over to the Vandy side, where there was plenty of beer left and plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the second half arse whooping

It was VERY hot. When the Vandy fans left early, we moved up to the shade of the press box. Saved this old man from heat stroke.

It doesn't matter how it happened. It happened. Regardless of what state the program is in now or in the future, those memories will never be erased.

Remember when you tried to make a statement about the current state of affairs of LSU football team?

That's another reason the team was so successful. Everyone fed off his mentality. It was contagious.
