you sit there and WATCH 7 STRAIGHT PITCHES?????? Don't even take the bat off your shoulder??

That's a player who's not even competing. No will to win. Stay in the fricking dugout next time. Let someone who wants to BATTLE go to the plate.

This team has no heart and is weak.

White’s the only one in the lineup you can count on to hit the ball hard somewhere, and with risp, he hasn’t been spectacular.
Sure, you make a mistake and Trav or Jones will take you out to dinner.
Other than that, we can’t do diddly-poo. Absolute poop

Is it possible CJJ had him take 2 pitches after going 3-0?

Not a chance with umps drunken zone. MAYBE 3-0 you have the take on but 3-1? No way he didn't have the green light.

That may have been the most embarrassing AB I have ever seen. Ever. On any level.

I don’t know what is up with Pearson but he doesn’t hit with runners on. 23 games played and he’s only knocked in 7 of his teammates. Kling has brought home 14 runners.

You can’t swing at the first three because they are balls. You can’t swing at the fourth because the count is 3-0. On the 3-1 pitch whether you swing or not is 50-50.
You gotta swing at strike three.

There is heart, there is less ability. We lost heart and ability last year.
This game was 4-2 with 2 out and an 0-2 count on the batter in the bottom of the 8th. One bad pitch and we lose the game.
Even with 19 Ks the game was winnable.

With heart and a competitive attitude you don't have 19Ks. IDGAF how good the pitcher is. This isn't 12yo rec ball, you put the ball in play.

Attitude reflects leadership.

Your seeing a much more true picture of Jay Johnson team this year. He is a pac 12 guru.

So tired of the 2-out, pitcher-count hits this year!

Did you see the inconsistency in the strike zone? Out of those pitches, there’s no way in hell three were strikes

I’m sure with Tommy on deck that’s the case; however, he didn’t tell him to take 3.

Our batting isn’t great but that strike zone was gross. These guys have hit 10s of thousands of balls and know the strike zone. They may not guess the pitch but they know a strike or not. Half of our strikeouts tonight were gifts from the clown behind the plate. Credit AK pitchers for hitting the spots…off the plate.

Pearson’s job was to walk - you can argue he succeeded if not for the horrible zone.
