Gilbert kept taking shot after shot, missing every one in the exact same spot. Could she not understand she was ice cold? Then LSU cuts the lead to 3, the ball plainly goes off UCLA's Rice's foot, the refs give the ball to UCLA. Refs' west coast bias was evident.

She was 0-7 and a lot of those came in crunch time. I don't understand that, at all. And it's not like she was driving and trying to draw fouls, she was shooting jumpers. Baffling.

I agree the call was HORRIBLE. I still think LSU could've overcame the call if not for Gilbert. After the way the 3rd qtr ended with Williams calling for the ball and Gilbert ignoring her to force a bad play, I knew it would be over if Gilbert came out to start the 4th.

UCLA was the better team.

Their shooting in the 2nd quarter was the difference.

Horrendous call that should be corrected in games like this

They review everything else and why not use the technology to get it right

But you can easily argue they are not a better team. LSU played like shite and still had a chance to win. Our 3 best players combined for 13 TO, Gilbert/Williams went a combined 4-20 and we still had the score within 3 at the end of the game.

I just knew nothing good was going to happen everytime Gilbert had the ball in her hands. Either a turnover or a missed shot that killed any momentum we might have had. I would have take her arse out of the game when she waived off MK at the end of the third quarter!

There’s a reason no one wanted to touch her out of the portal. Outside of 2-3 games this year, she’s been a disappointment.

Kim has been pissing me off all year she is so stubborn not playing Richard during the season because she is a Freshman . Gilbert is a street ball scatter brain does not have a clue Richard is smart on and off the court .
Kim this is not 1980 play your Freshman move on with time .

Not giving Richard more of an opportunity is quite baffling considering your other options at point guard were not very good.

My keys to loss was:
We challenged big girl too many times and came away with empty possessions. Too many times. I realize it was to get her in foul trouble.
We should have fronted her in the paint. It was too easy feeding her in the paint for easy buckets.
Gilbert does not know her place with Mykal ,Flow and Morrow on the court. Needed more Poa running point. IMO

I just checked out Gilbert’s stats from last year, assuming she regressed once she hit lsu

She had more turnovers than assists at zona last year. When the biggest thing this team needed was a PG to run the offense and get the actual best players in good spots, why on earth do you bring in a guard that has more assists than turnovers?

She is the only player that I can see that might enter the portal by her own choice. I think there is a possibility that Del Rosario is asked to enter the portal. We lose Poa, Wilson and Morrow. We need a couple Bigs from the portal and an experienced point guard, like the one from FSU, Latson.

If that keeps you warm at night, congrats.

UCLA was the better team and that’s why they won.
