Anyone setting up or know of a big gathering of LSU fans in Tuscaloosa and if so, where? We are staying in Birmingham and driving in but we have never been to their campus before. Wondering what time to arrive, where to park and where to join up. I’m hopeful all Tiger fans will be welcoming to others but would be great if there’s a particular “meeting” area. If so please share and thanks! Three of us going...

We've always found success at the Central High School parking lot near campus for a great gathering of Tiger RVs and fans, including a DJ set-up.

A bama friend of mine has a big tailgate set up at the rear lot of the Druid City Music Hall on or near campus. Me and four buddies are cooking some of the food for his tailgate. He is expecting around 600 people. We are cooking pastalaya, jambalaya, gumbo, and I believe some boudin balls that Jerry Lee is bringing to the tailgate. He is also supposed to have some mexican food trucks set up as well I think.

It is fenced off and you have to pay to get in. I believe it is $30 per person and that covers the band, food, the venue rent and all that. They will have a cash bar as well.

He has told me that he is going to have a few unnamed celebrities there and even told me Kay Ivey is supposed to come by. He may be full of shite, but I know it is going to be a good time.

There is a PNC bank on university dr, about 2-3 blocks east of the stadium. It has sort of a horseshoe shaped parking lot out back. Stumbled across that parking lot in 2007, met some great bama fans who i still chat with today.

went back in 2009 and 2011. in 2011 ticket prices were so high that we came back to that lot behind the bank.

why am i telling you this? because there is a large group of lsu fans who usually have a big trailer that they project the game onto and have lots of chairs and set them up theater style. watched the 2011 game right there, and could hear the roars, from lsu and bama, all throughout the game from there. pretty cool spot.

eta: get there early, and it may be like $25 to pay to some boy scout org.
